We welcome you to our family run Riverside Gites. Situated on the banks of the Charente River, nestled in the wonderful village of Taillebourg. Our self contained Gites are perfect for families seeking a fun vacation or couples looking for a peaceful getaway. We have a fully equipped kitchen including coffee maker, fridge, oven, hob, microwave, washing machine to name but a few. The photos of the inside of the Gite are accurate and show the sitting area, Dinning area & kitchen. The bedroom with three beds is accessible by the spiral staircase on the first floor and there is a bathroom with shower. Guests have access to a shared BBQ area outside of the Gite. All you'll need are the coals and food! There is a portable table and chairs which can be used outside. We can meet you at your arrival and departure but you will have full privacy. We have a VMC unit to make your stay comfortable. Due to current COVID restrictions we are not supplying Salt, Pepper & Oil. Taillebourg does not have good internet service & the WIFI in the area is sometimes weak. Taillebourg offers several amenities including three restaurants, a Boulangerie (bakery), Convenience shop. There is also water ski-ing, cyling, walking, fishing, boat tours, kayaking, paddle boats, (golfing and horse riding nearby). Car is a necessity. Bike hire available upon request in advance. Nearest Train station located in Saintes Nearest beaches are 30 minutes away by car - Fouras, Rochefort, Royan, St Palais sur Mer. The vast sandy beaches on Ile d'Oleron is 45 minutes. There is a charming river beach in the nearby village of Port d'Envaux with swimming, boat/canoe hire and children's play area. The outdoor pool complex in St Savinien is just 5 mins drive. Taillebourg does not have good internet service & the WIFI in the area is sometimes weak.
