Wake to the sound of birdlife & relax in the shadows of Mt Glorious & Mt Nebo. Enjoy gentle walks amid scenic countryside or more energetic bush walking, bike riding, or horse riding. Located within a 5 min stroll to the Samford Showgrounds, perfect for those attending weddings or events. Only 8 minute drive to the iconic Samford Village The L-shaped studio is attached to the eastern side of the main residence and has a private covered patio entrance with a garden suite. Self check-in is preferred and the suite is completely separate from the main residence. Reverse cycle ducted air conditioning keeps you comfortable while you unwind in the spacious and tastefully decorated living area. If screen time is your thing, there is unlimited wi-fi and a smart TV with Netflix or you may prefer to simply enjoy views onto the leafy garden as the sun sets quietly behind the mountains. A comfortable queen bed with quality linen will ensure a good night's sleep and there is plenty of built in storage and hanging space. Parking onsite. The kitchenette is not suitable for complex meals but is fine for simple preparations. It includes a convection microwave, electric frypan, bar fridge, electric sandwich maker, toaster, cutlery, plates, glasses and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a portable gas cooktop, available exclusively to guests on the patio. Private patio and garden Laundry facilities (washer and dryer) through a separate entrance to the main building are available by negotiation with host. Richard, your host, lives in the main property with his wife. He is a retired high school teacher who spends a good deal of his time helping run the local Men's Shed. You may have as much privacy as you desire, but if you need help with local knowledge he is more than happy to chat. Our home is a safe and pleasant five minute stroll to the Samford Showgrounds, the Samford Men's Shed and Riding for the Disabled. The Samford Show is held annually in July. Driving a vehicle is the most convenient mode of transport, however Bus 385 passes by our street and can provide transport to the train station. Ferny Grove Railway Station is a 10 minute drive away. We are only a 30 minute drive to Brisbane CBD Samford Village is an 8 minute drive with it's vibrant cafe precinct and an iconic country pub offering a variety of cuisines. Mt Glorious is similarly only a 10 minute drive. Samford Valley Markets - second Saturday of the month 7am - 12 midday at St Pauls Anglican Church *Ferny Grove Markets - every Sunday 6am - midday at the Ferny Grove Train Station *John Scott Park in the heart of Samford- Playgrounds, BBQ's, picnics, Historical Museum & Craft Store. *Rockpools, waterfalls and the renowned Cedar Creek are also close by * Shopping- Samford Village is well known for its arts, crafts, antiques and boutique shopping * Dining - Samford boasts more than a dozen restaurants and cafes to suit a variety of tastes and budgets.
