Lone Pine is located just outside the town of Mudgee on an historic 2000 acre working fine wool farm with sweeping country views. You will have exclusive use of this unique property for the duration of your stay – Just far enough to leave your city hassles behind you, yet close enough to awaken the senses... *Please note you will need a suitable vehicle for off road driving. The property is accessed via a dirt road and you would need to drive quite slowly. Not saying you have to have a 4wd but at least a vehicle with some clearance would be best. Nestled on the flats of Meroo River between rolling hills & rocky ridges this warm and inviting establishment can comfortably sleep 11, plus an infant in cot. Fully self-contained with 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms (and a functioning outhouse for that true country experience), a wonderfully appointed modern kitchen & seasonal veggie/herb garden, games room (with a pool table), sunroom, BBQ facilities & fire pit, a library reflecting the owner's wide range of interests & wrap around verandahs - there’s plenty of room for everyone – even the dog! Plenty of onsite parking provided. The property was originally settled by white settlers in the 1850’s, during the famous gold rush. The lath & mud construction cottage located next to the current accommodation was the original ‘Homestead’. There was a single, giant, ancient pine tree that once shaded this humble dwelling, now gone, it lent its name to the current property.
