We have decorated our home to feel comfortable and welcoming for guests. We provide a beautifully decorated room with a very comfortable Queen size bed with an electric blanket for your comfort. We also have a separate room with a single bed and a full size single trundle mattress . We are happy for our guests to use our Netflix. We have NBN and guests can access this via our password which we will supply on arrival or soon after. You will have your own bathroom to use and do not have to share. We have miniature ponies, dogs and cats. Please let us know if you have any allegies however feel assured as the cats do not live in the house . Two of the dogs are poodles and are non allergenic. Guests can relax in the living room and use the large flatscreen TV that has access to Netflix, General TV channels and Catch Up TV, this is in the same room as the kitchen. We have a very comfortable lounge with a chaise. Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and we ask that you leave it as you find it. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower. As a traveller, we appreciate that your needs in regards to interaction may vary. We aim to be sensitive to your needs. We live in a rural area popular which has many wineries, situated a reasonable drive to Canberra (please refer to the map) and also the small historic town of Yass. Murrumbateman has a variety of dining options. We have a takeaway, a pub, a cafe and a bakery. The Meadery is open on weekends and provides lunch. The Murrumabeman Tavern or Pub provides substantial tasty meals which are good value for money. Olleyville (refer to Guidebook) is a new upmarket restaurant located at the Shaw Vineyard Estate. And is popular with locals and those from Canberra. There is a Saturday morning farmers market every 2nd weekend from 8am-1pm. Many locals come and bring fresh produce, arts and crafts, delicious baked goods and set up food stalls. Our neighbourhood is unique as it is quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of city living. It is close to several wineries and you also have the option of Canberra for Museums, Shopping Malls, Sight Seeing, Look Outs and Night Life. You will need a car to get around. We have very limited public transport in Murrumbateman and the airport is approx a 50 minute drive. Canberra is a comfortable 30 mins to the City or Belconnen and there are buses that run throughout Canberra. We want your stay to be a relaxing and pleasant one.
