Stay in our restored historic cabin from the old sawmill days. A medium sized cabin with bathroom and full kitchen. It's only a five minute walk down to the Symes Hot Spring for soaking in the healing waters. The king size bed can be separated into two twins, new carpet and electrical upgrades. I removed my TV from my home 25yrs ago and I do not offer TV or microwave ovens because of their negative health effects. I stock the cabin with only organic snacks of fruit and nuts and lots of angels. The cabin is one of several that were once part of a logging camp. I have put up privacy fencing along alleyway leaving the cabin with it's own private entrance. The cabins were built by the 'main' house owners, therefore looks as if the cabin is in the 'backyard'. Down the alley a short bit from cabin entrance opens out to an open area leading down to a main waterway, which looks like a stream in the summer, where the bears come to swim and cool off as well as deer and other wildlife. The other entrance to the cabin leads into a private yard of which is in the process of being created into a 'hummingbird' haven. There is another historical cabin on the property that contains a library to explore as well as memorabilia of our experience of living in Borneo(Kalimantan). Indonesia for two years in the 80's. Margaret also has an extensive library in the other cabin that our guests are welcome to explore. Margaret is available to help the guests in any way she can and to offer suggestions over your stay. The cabin entry faces a quiet alley known as the 'main street extension', of which opens out jto the other side of the OldSawmill camp. Due to private property ownership, just walk down to the fence line to an open area leading down to a stream where bears, deer and other wildlife come to drink and cool off. The organic grocery is a two block walk as well as the Symes Hot Springs soaking pools. The entire town of Hot Springs is very walking friendly. The waters of Hot Springs have been called "Big Medicine" for a long time. Many people swear by its healing waters for such things as arthritis. The waters are also high in lithium, for that extra calm trip. There are three local soaking spots, the historical Symes Hotel with it's 4 pools, Rose's Place(quiet, private, one HOT pool), & Leo's Place (Big Medicine) (quiet, private, one HOT pool). All Awesome!
