Kampung Bongsu Farmstay Hill Side

KG short for ‘Kampung’, our farmhouse is in a small village in Lanchang, Pahang, just an hour’s drive away from Kuala Lumpur. Our houses sit on a little hill overlooking a peaceful mountain and a waterfront view from the villa terrace. Bringing you closer to nature with 15 acres of private gated land and 4 acres of lake space, it’s just you, your family, and friends. The farmhouse sits right next to the Krau Wildlife Reserve, Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary and the Deerland Park Bukit Rengit. Enjoy a typical Malaysian farm life with lots of activities to do; help our caretaker doing his daily tasks, go fishing, pick some fruits, feed the animals or just relax and enjoy the environment. We are on 15 acres of private land, with 3 lakes. Fishing lake, fish farm lake, and water lily lake. Our farm includes cows, chickens, ducks, rabbits and our lake have the red tilapia, baung fish, and patin fish. We have our local caretaker who runs our farm doing daily chores and working out the place. He is very friendly, please do offer him some help feeding the animals in the evening :) Go fishing in our lake or help our caretaker with his daily tasks. We do also provide fresh food caught from our farm including local fishes. Please let us know what you need and we'll accommodate to your taste cooked from local restaurants. Or you can even cook your own barbecue. Try out or local juicy fruits mangoes, rambutans, durians, mangosteens, jackfruits. (depending on season) We can offer and cater to your special needs, transport, food arrangements, activities. The main idea is for us to give you the best possible experience living in our small local farmstay. Mempaga Segar: At Lanchang town 5km away from the property there is nearest groceries shop which provides fresh fish, fruits, vegetables and meat. Nara Seafood: A thai restaurant located on the main road 2km away from the property. Mak Teh Nor Food Stall: Provides local breakfast and lunch which is 2km away from the property. Krau Wildlife Reserve: A morning’s walk through the forest will almost certainly bring sightings of Banded and Dusky Leaf-monkeys, and of the ubiquitous Long-tailed Macaque. About 190 species of birds have been recorded so far. Important ones include the Giant Pitta, Malaysian Peacock Pheasant and White-belllied Woodpecker. Kuala Gandah Elephant Sanctuary: Kuala Gandah Elephant Orphanage Sanctuary, Pahang is a rare and fantastic opportunity to get up close to endemic Malaysian elephants. This truly unique Elephant Orphanage of Kuala Gandah in Pahang will give you a very rare opportunity to learn about these displaced gentle giants. Get the chance to ride them through the jungle, with the help of an elephant guide, or mahout. For the brave and adventurous, there are opportunities to take the elephants down to the river and help give them a bath! There really is no better opportunity than this to get in touch with these grey giants. Deerland Park: In the serene and untouched natural environment, you get a chance to interact with the smart yet humble deer. Apart from learning more about them, you also get a chance to feed and stroke the deer. Apart from that, there's also ostrich, sun bear, snake and much more to keep you amused. Other attractions include a dedicated area to cultivate herbs and spices. There are over 40 species of herbs including the ever famous Tongkat Ali which is believed to have medicinal properties. There is also knotted rope used to swing across the river by the adventurous heart. If not, enjoy the wooden walkway leading up to an observation tower at Bukit Rengit There is bus stand which is available on the main road at the junction of Kg Bongsu. You can get bus and travel to the near by town of Mentakab or Lanchang or get try getting cab there which pass every 30mins earliest. The caretaker name Ayie will be present if there are any need of assistance during your stay at the farm. The night spotlight can be switched manually from the switch box. Please make sure to secure the animal fences upon exiting or entering the area. Kindly be informed that the price is for a family package of two adults and three children. Any additional paxs is MYR90 for an adult and MYR45 for children age two to twelve years old per night. Bedroom 3 and bedroom 4 is located at the fishing deck area which about 30 meters away from the house. Outdoor toilet with two wc and two showers is located the opposite of the fishing deck. For guests staying 3 nights or more, do allow the caretaker to change the bed lines and provide new fresh towels. Kitchen are fully equipped with utensils. Bath towels provided.
