At Lugano & View you can truly take in the view, relax and experience Switzerland in all its beauty! The apartment is on the second floor; it has a fully equipped kitchen, a bathroom with bathtub/shower, a living/dining area with a comfortable sofa bed, a large table with chairs and a balcony with amazing views of Lugano. On the other side of the apartment there is a bedroom with lake view and a comfortable king-size bed. For our guests there is also a free private parking space. From the ground floor, guests can access the laundry room. The property has all the needed comforts and the area is quiet and highly recommended to anyone wishing to be close to the city without being in the middle of it. Aldesago is a town on Monte Brè overlooking Lugano, the largest town in the holiday region of Ticino, which is not only Switzerland's third most important financial centre, but also a city of parks and flowers, villas and sacred buildings. With Mediterranean flair, Lugano offers all the advantages of a world-class city, combined with the cachet of a small town. We recommend taking the cable car to the top of Monte San Salvatore, Lugano's home mountain, where spectacular views over Lake Lugano will leave you speechless. Mountains aside, Villa Ciani, a beautiful mid-1800's mansion with neoclassical shapes, is immersed in the homonymous beautiful public park of 63'000 sqm and has 30 frescoed rooms of different sizes on three floors and all linked together. In the summer months, the Lugano Lido offers visitors numerous opportunities: a wonderful fine sandy beach on the shores of Lake Ceresio, heated Olympic swimming pool, a medium size swimming pool, a diving pool with trampolines up to 10 m high, a pool suitable for children with water games, a beach volley court and a five-a-side football pitch. For an entertaining evening we recommend a visit to the Casinò Lugano, where numerous slot machines, gaming tables and tournaments are open to all visitors. We recommend driving to the property and parking in our private covered parking space. Alternatively guests can travel to the property by public transports; either by bus or by funicular. Bus: from Lugano Centro bus stop you can catch the 12 bus (direction Brè Paese) and get off after 20 minutes at Aldesago, Arcate. From there you can walk for 1 minute to the property. Funicular: the Monte Brè funicular is located in Via Pico 8 in Lugano; from there guests can use this fascinating mode of transport to reach Aldesago in just 10 minutes (check seasonal timetables). The platform is fairly close to the property. Please note that a tourist tax of 2.00 CHF per person per night is payable on arrival. Please note that during Christmas, New Year, Easter and the summer season we prefer bookings of minimum 7 nights.
