Nestled in the country, this idyllic rustic cottage / coach house is situated handy to Morrinsville and a short commute from Cambridge and Hamilton. We are located on the main route to The Coromandel, with its pristine beaches, native forests and laid-back vibe, it is one of New Zealand's most popular and best-loved holiday destinations. The north facing position of the property offers sun, great views and privacy. You will receive a welcome basket on arrival, just a few treats to get you started on your first morning including homemade bread. We really look forward to hosting you and will be available throughout your stay to offer any support or assistance. We are in close proximity to the Hobbiton Movie Set which was a significant location used for The Lord of the Rings film trilogy and The Hobbit film series. There are some great cafes just 10 minutes away. Woodlands Estate is a unique and very beautiful Historic New Zealand Homestead and Garden Estate established in the 1870's. It sits proudly in the center of acres of stunning gardens and fertile farm land, providing the perfect setting for something to eat or drink. Loxy & Co Eatery, Morrinsville is a great spot for coffee / breakfast and lunch. For those wanting an easy-medium walk, Pukemokemoke Bush Reserve is a short 10 minutes away. The Pukemokemoke Bush Loop Track is a great Waikato walking trail, boasting over 300 native plants including matai, totara, kauri, kanuka and kahikatea, great picnic spots and stunning views of the wider region. Another great option is the Karangahake Gorge which was voted as one of the ‘101 Must Do’s For Kiwis’. Regardless of whether you’re a history buff, a hiking enthusiast, or simply a curious sight-seer, the Karangahake Gorge is a terrific place to walk, cycle or soak up the stunning sights of the area.
