The Garden Room is a delightful, spacious, self-contained, open plan, contemporary style living space in a converted green oak barn in a village location. It has two double beds, kitchenette and shower room and a small patio area. It has its own off road parking space immediately in front of the property. You can walk straight from Burrington Farm onto the undiscovered beauty of the Mendip Hills and stroll for miles, with only the wild ponies as company. Prices dependent on duration of stay. The Garden Room is within the curtilage of Burrington Farm - a tradition Somerset longhouse that dates back to the 1600’s. Your room occupies the first floor of a converted barn and overlooks the garden on the one side and a gravelled courtyard on the other. Guests self-check in using a coded keysafe. The access is via an external stone staircase to the room with kitchenette, shower room and small patio. We live in the farmhouse which is adjacent to the barn conversion. So we are available to advise on where to go or what to do. We are in a village with beautiful surrounding countryside. There's fantastic walking, horse riding, mountain biking and within casting distance there's Blagdon Lake famous for trout fishing. You really need a car or a bike to explore the area if you're not a walker. You can't rely on public transport. Their is a ‘Welcome’ book that gives you the low down on the local area. It covers restaurants, pubs, activities and places to visit from the seaside to cities, towns and villages.
