The Lodge at Dunbrody House
Spacious Georgian lodge built in 1830, located within the estate at Dunbrody boasting many original features - open fire, cast iron tub, Rayburn stove. Only a few metres of the acclaimed Dunbrody Country House where the restaurant is available to book for both breakfast and dinner subject to availability and on open dates. Originally the steward's house for the grand old Dunbrody Country House the lodge now offers old-style self-catering accommodation, complete with many original features - open fire, cast iron tub and Rayburn stove. Guests will have full use of the lodge and also access to to all the facilities in the adjacent hotel complete with the Spa, Cookery School, Pub and of course award-winning restaurant (subject to availability) Not only will host Catherine Dundon be on hand to look after you but so will all the staff at Dunbrody. The Hook Peninsula offers a host of activities for young and old alike - from our 14 different beaches and fishing villages, cosy country pubs, adventure sports and gentle walks. Don't forget to visit Europe's oldest lighthouse too on the Hook Pensinsula. Guests will usually have their own transport as public transport is limited. We can arrange for transfers from Waterford Airport or train station (30 minutes) or Wexford train station (40 minutes) Cost applies On weekends the hotel and grounds can be quite busy but much less so mid-week.
