This 1920's home with character and comfort for your stay and a base to explore the town or the surrounding area. The 1920's Lodge is able to support families and friends in comfort and style. The beautiful polished jarrah kitchen, wall panels and rustic timber floors are complimented by slate and tile floors in the wet areas. Two huge walk-in robes in the two parents retreats give you a sense of luxury and complimented by a bathroom with its own spa bath and separate rain-head shower. We have selected a 1920's home with character for your stay. The Jarrah timber floors and wooden panels surrounding each room extend into a large kitchen with its own cooking island. A large bathroom with both a big rain shower and a spa bath are a touch of luxury to make your stay all that more enjoyable. A large TV screen in the lounge beside a beautiful bar provides a comfortable evening as you unwind. Comfy bedrooms with a couple of large walk-in robes are designed to let you rest and wake up fresh in the morning, ready to explore the region or ride the trails. The house is very close to the town centre with its shopping and dining options. Many of our visitors have commented on how beautiful this Lodge is and envious that we are able to offer it to you. We hope that you will enjoy your stay with us too. The Lodge is ideally placed for your stay. Just across the road is the Collie Museum, a place full of the history of Collie's mining, power and timber industries. A little further down the hill is Visitor and Information Centre. Not only is it full of ideas and information but there are also three old steam locomotives, an old coal shovel and a Traction engine on display. Attached to the Centre is a Replica Mine with self-guided or Guided (by appointment) tours. The Centre also provides access to the Bibbulmun Track, Munda Biddi and karak Trails. The latter can take you out to Black Diamond Lake, about 5kms west near Allanson. If walking is your preference, DPAW can be found a short stroll across the road in the other direction. Town is a short stroll past the Visitors Centre with the Art Gallery, shops, bakery and eateries on both sides of the rail tracks. Further down the main road you can also find a beautiful swimming pool and in the centre of town there is also a Water and Play ground next to the Goods Shed, open for markets a couple of times a month Collie has its own taxi service and the town is just a short stroll away. The lodge is a short walk from the Bus terminus at the Visitor Centre. Please do not bring Bicycles into the Lodge. If you have these, please contact us as we have other security facilities for these items on the property. Please do not bring additional people beyond your booking. Additional fees will be charged if this occurs without pre-booking.
