The Old Apothecary - Westend Gem!
A spacious and stylish apartment nestled in the very heart of Galway's vibrant Westend. The apartment itself has three large double bedrooms and a bright and airy open plan living space. The "Apothecary" is located above what used to be the old O'Beirn's Pharmacy first established in 1935. It's well appointed, with thoughtful touches throughout, stacks of books to curl up with on a rainy day and provides the perfect city centre base for exploring Galway's bohemian charms. It should be noted that as the apartment is located right in the heart of Galway's buzzing Westend, there can be noise from local bars at the weekend in the back bedroom. Free earplugs have been provided for the light sleepers amongst you! The entire apartment is yours exclusively during your stay. Guests can access the property using the lock box located at street level. Generally, we leave you to relax and enjoy your stay but we are always contactable by phone or text if there's anything you need. Galway's buzzing Westend has burst onto the scene in recent years with some of the city's most exciting eateries and boutique businesses. The night life is second to none, with live music to be found most nights of the week. A short 5 minute stroll over the bridge and past Galway's famed Long Walk brings you to Quay street - the epicentre of the city's medieval district. Galway is an extremely 'walkable' city. The apartment is ideally located, with all of Galway's attractions and the seaside promenade both within 20 mins walk of the front door. Another pleasant way to explore the area is by bike - these can be rented using the city bike scheme with pick up/drop off points located throughout the city. Information on the city bus routes, car hire options, local taxi companies and local tours can be found in the house manual in the apartment.
