A charming and unique property in the lovely village of Sandford. Fully equipped for all your needs but if you don't feel like cooking there are two pubs in the village The Rose & Crown and the award winning Lamb Inn. There are numerous picturesque walks around the village to the river, woods and through grassy lanes including through the Millenium Green and pond to Crediton, the nearby market town where you can enjoy a coffee on the square or shop for anything you need during your stay. Please be aware this is just a 1 bedroom place. The photos of the bedroom show the same room set up with the bed as a twin or a double (don't worry there will be a lovely thick topper on it so you won't notice the join!). Extra guests sleep in the living room on the sofa which pulls out into a good sized bed. There is also a travel cot available. Little Cobbles annex has been a dream of mine since I saw the property for sale nearly 3 years ago. The kitchen and shower room are brand new and were formally a dark, messy room with a work bench, washing machine, a load of junk in and no windows. I hope guests enjoy the light airy rooms they now are. The annex is furnished with many vintage items from things my family have passed on, to my finds on my travels abroad and in this country. Many of the artworks on the walls have been done by friends and family. I hope you enjoy the quirky old style and while things are not all brand new and matching they are all clean and well loved and I really like the fact that I've made use of them. If you would like to reserve a table at The Lamb Inn please let me know on booking as I can do this for you. There are 3 steps up into the annex and 3 going down into the kitchen once you are inside. Otherwise everything inside is all on one level. Parking is on street but if space is limited the village hall car park just around the corner on Fanny's Lane (EX17 4NA) always has plenty of room. There are local buses to the village from Crediton and surrounding areas but these aren't very frequent. There is a train line in Crediton which takes you to Exeter (where you can get mainline trains to Cornwall or up to London) and up to North Devon. Dartmoor and Exmoor are both an easy drive away as are the North and South coasts (you can get to the beach at Exmouth on the train from Crediton). I live nearby so am often around if needed if I'm not nearby I can be contacted on the phone when needed. Sandford is a picturesque village in the middle of Devon a mile and a half away from the market town of Crediton. There are many pretty countryside walks around the village and surrounding areas. Parking is on street and is free. If space is limited (bear in mind very large tractors and trailers use this road frequently and are very wide) there is always space in the village hall car park and the one opposite it, go back down the road, turn left onto Fanny's Lane and it's 150m on your right. Just a couple of minutes walk away. My children and I use the annexe often as it's close to school and their evening clubs. Therefore the kitchen is very well stocked with herbs and spices, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, cerials, jam, lots of teas etc. Feel free to use these but if you use a lot of something or finish something please replace it or contribute by leaving something in the piggy bank on the shelf. Dogs are welcome but at the moment (until I get planning for a door out the back) the only access to the garden is out of the window! This is easily facilitated by placing the cover provided (please do use it as the window sill has been freshly painted) over the end of the bed and windowsill for the dog to hop up and out and the ground level outside is only a few inches from the outer window sill. You're welcome to go out this way too at your own risk and if you are limber. Please pick up after your dog.
