Family country home, a Burgundy "Longère" set in a quaint hamlet with a large yard and a heated pool (covered in spring and autumn. Rustic charm, simple "vintage" furniture, and modern comfort. Perfect for a family or friends' reunions, for a weekend away from the city hustle and bustle, for a quiet and relaxing vacation time. We provide only bed linens. BYO bath and pool towels. Note: 12 guests maximum. Large groups, noisy parties outdoors are not allowed and will be reported to the police. The house can comfortably accommodate up to 12 persons. No extra guests or large parties are allowed. A spacious living and dining room is the center of the house. It features a large farmhouse dining table that sits 12 and a comfy sitting area. In front of the wood-burning fireplace, there is a cozy TV nook equipped with an HD TV (local channels only). The living room opens onto the fully functional kitchen (fridge/freezer, induction cooktop, convection and microwave ovens, dishwasher, washing machine + small appliances) with a large central island and original terracotta tiles. On the ground floor, there are 2 master bedrooms with private en-suite shower rooms and outdoor access. One has a king-size bed and a travel baby cot, the other a queen size. Upstairs, there is a large dorm (with 6 XL single beds) that comfortably sleeps children or adults and an additional cozy double room with a shared toilet and bath. All bedrooms have hardwood floors. The property sits on a large private yard with mature trees landscaping. There is a 5m x 10m deep heated swimming pool. The hardcover [spring and fall] can be opened to swim under. It will be removed in the summer. There is also a swing set and a game of table tennis (ping-pong). Playing cards and board games are also provided. We provide bed linens only. Large 2 acres private yard, heated deep pool, outdoor BBQ, and garden furniture. Warning : there are stairs/steps outside and inside the house which might be an issue for some parents of toddlers. It is the perfect house for family and friends reunions. The village which is 1.5 km away has all essential commodities with a grocery store, a boulangerie, a doctor and pharmacy. Larger supermarkets and other shopping outlets can be found in Donzy (15 min), La Charite sur Loire (20 min), Cosne sur Loire (30 min) or Nevers (40 min). Tennis courts can be booked in the village. Just 5km away in Nannay, rural movie theater with the latest movies. Nature walks around. Nearby attractions are world-renowned Sancerre and Pouilly fume vineyards, the potters' village of Saint-Amand-en-Pusaye, the "book town" of La Charite Sur Loire with its UNESCO world heritage site, the Loire river and all its outdoor activities such as fishing, kayaking, bicycle rentals, the Medieval construction site of Guedelon, etc. Nevers, the Morvan, and the Loire valley are all accessible for day tours. The house is located in North Burgundy/Loire Valley rural area. Private vehicle is a must have, no public transport available. Many historical and tourist attractions are located within 20 min to an hour drive. Closest train stations are La Charite Sur Loire (20km), Cosne Sur Loire (30km), Nevers (40km) Bath and pool towels are not included in the price, please bring your own.
