Stream Cottage a peaceful, idyllic hideaway.
A thoughtfully converted cottage set in a delightful, sheltered sloping garden with a small orchard. The property benefits from a secluded location in Iden, a small village 5 minutes to the North of Rye in East Sussex. The internal arrangement is set round a split level kitchen/dining area and living room with an open fireplace, its has three bedrooms and one bathroom with a bath and handheld shower. Free Wifi included. The property is a 5 minute walk across a cricket pitch from the car-park. The property, originally a milkmaids cottage, has been fully renovated in the local 'vintage' style, equipped with modern conveniences for a comfortable stay. It features a nicely tamed country garden complete with a small orchard before a steep bank down to a duck pond. There is also a lawn area perfect for croquet, badminton and an outdoor kadai (fire-pit). The house and garden is fully available for the exclusive use of the guests and is cleaned and prepared for each occupant. We are contactable should the guests need any assistance other than that the guests have full private use of the house. The cottage is in a very quiet picturesque doomsday village. With Romney marsh, and the ancient medieval harbour town of Rye very short drives away. It is the perfect position to explore this area rich in history, natural beauty, diverse habitats and extensive coastline. The parking is a 5 minute walk away from the cottage over a cricket pitch. The nearest Train station is Rye with frequent trains west to Brighton and Lewes and East to Ashford with high speed connections to London. There is bus service from Rye Station to Iden. Roughly every 2 hours except Sundays. Taxis operate outside Rye Station, a 10 minute drive to Iden. Due to the historical nature of the cottage and steep sloping garden with uneven steps, regrettably it is not suitable for young children or those with physical access needs.
