This beautiful, comfortable house will serve perfectly as a basecamp for all of your explorations in Southern Ticino's Malcantone. It's located at the edge of the small village of Iseo, between Vernate and Aranno about 10 minutes drive from Agno, 25 minutes from Lugano, and 25 minutes from Ponte Tresa (Italy). The vacation rental contains two stories, including three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room for rent. The big terrace is overlooking the Malcantone valley to the Monte Rosa massive (Swiss and French Alps). The ground floor—with its living room, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, as well as its big terrace—is perfect for couples. If you are more people, the first floor offers two more bedrooms and a bathroom. In the rooftop-apartment lives a local tenant. Guests have access and full privacy to the ground floor with 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, living room kitchen, and a huge terrace and to the first floor with 2 bedrooms and a bathroom. The house is at the edge of the small village of Iseo, which is very quiet and a great starting point for short or extensive hiking. The next shopping options are in the town of Agno, about 10-15 mins by car. There is a bus connection from Agno – where the airport of Lugano is located and also a train connection to Lugano – but it is recommended to have a car. Around the house are several public parking spots for free. Please regard that the house is more than a hundred years old. Although the owners renovated it in the mid-1990s, there are lots of cracks and some small holes. Our cleaning team is taking care to keep the house in the best shape. However, there most likely will be bugs, ants, spiders, and other insects. Guests will find cleaning supplies in the bathroom (ground floor) and in the middle room on the first floor.
