One of the earliest properties in the Ironbridge/Severn Gorge, this is a charming 2 bedroom cottage. We have created a home from home - all the things you could possibly need are included - from slow cooker and bbq, to decent kitchen knives, from cot, booster seat, highchair, books, dvds, and family games and a PS3 with games. There is a double bedroom and a child's bedroom (with child size bed - up to age 6 approx). There is a double sofa bed in the sitting room which is very comfortable. We can also provide a travel cot, which can be placed in either bedroom. There is a pretty sitting room with garden views, and a downstairs kitchen/breakfast room. There is a small courtyard garden. We have a 4 person hot tub available to you, perfect after a long walk or cycle. Hot tub now installed! 40 degrees C of bubbly goodness. Chloe and Adam, the owners, live in the main house which is attached to the cottage. We will be there to give you the keys and show you around. We are available most of the time and will happily help with information about the area and what to do and see. If you have any specific requests during your stay just knock on our door and we will do what we can to help. If you'd rather not interact with us we won't be knocking at your door or anything, so you'll get a totally private break. We came on holiday to Shropshire touring campsites in the summer of 2015 and fell in love with it straightaway. We had sold our house in Oxford and moved in by Christmas the same year. You just have to be here to appreciate how beautiful it is and how friendly people can be when they live somewhere which inspires them every day. As a tourist location it is frequently listed as one which should be on everyone's list, although rarely is it one of the most visited. This means that you can access all we have to offer at an unhurried and relaxed pace, scenery, fishing, walking, shopping, eating out, historical landmarks, museums, canoeing, really, I can't list it all; just look it up online and book now. You may end up being our neighbours before too long! Some fantastic and picturesque walking and cycling routes spread out around the gorge giving access to local tourist attractions and...yes...pubs and resturants too. For shopping, there is a supermarket and smaller independent shops in Madeley and Broseley 5 minutes drive away and Telford town centre boasting 175 shops over 25 acres of space. The train station is 10 minutes away by car.
