Typical mountain chalet set in a traditonal village, ideal for families and nature lovers. Great skiing, climbing, hicking on the doorstep. The house is laid out on two floors. Downstairs are a large kitchen (wood-fired stove and electric cooking stove) with eating area, the bathroom (newly refurbished) and a comfortable living room with dining table, couches and a typical feature of these area, a big stone cube that was used to heat the space by lighting a fire in its hollow belly. This has now been converted to electric heating and still serves the purpose of main heating source for the house, as well as a cozy place to sit on. Upstairs are three rooms, a larger double bedroom and two rooms with two single beds each. Entire place We live 15 minutes away by car and we are available for any need, else we respect your privacy with the expectation that you will respect our house. We speak Italian, French, German and English. Typical wooden house nestled in a very quiet mountain village. Ideal for families, nature lovers with immediate access to great walks as well as climbing and skiing. Limited amenities, groceries and shops 5-10 minutes by car in the nearest town. Public transport stop is a short stroll from the house, and links to the nearest town (train station) as well as Cari ski resort, runs a few times a day. The house is well located for climbing trips to the popular bouldering spots of Cresciano and Chironico, sports climbing area and a well equipped indoor climbing gym also within a 20 min drive. The area offers plenty of opportunities for walking, hiking and mountaineering at all levels in beautiful alpine setting. Bellinzona, the regional capital with its 3 UNESCO-listed castles is 40 minutes away. Locarno, the most popular tourist destination in the region, is less than one hour by car.
