Hi, the Gypsy Caravan has been relocated to a different part of the farm, from the photos shown, but it is still in its own field, occasionally shared with a horse, chickens and the geese ! you can park your car right next to it, and there is a picnic bench and a bbq for your use. we are situated in the heart of the Devon countryside, well off the beaten track in a secluded site surrounded by fabulous walks and wildlife, 15 minutes from the Jurassic coast . Our cosy gypsy caravan is situated in the corner of a field under some oak trees, possibly with one of our horses geese and chickens for company, surprisingly spacious inside, there is a comfortable double bed some seating and a small pot bellied stove which will keep you warm and toasty if needs be. while there are no cooking facilities within the caravan, other than a kettle, there is tea and coffee but you will have to bring bottled water for your own use I am happy to provide breakfast which will arrive in a basket on your doorstep in the morning and you are more than welcome to use the rather antiquated BBQ. i can supply nets of logs for £7.50 please bring cash, or there are some good pubs in Colyton, about a mile away. There is a wc and shower block located behind the stables, this is shared with the shepherds hut and the tipi in the listing of essential items it says towels .... i do not provide towels, so if you would like a shower you will need to provide your own. You have immediate access to some beautiful countryside with excellent walks, perfect for those who love wildlife and bird spotting. i am around much of the time and will be only too happy to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. we assume you like your own space, as we like ours, there is usually someone around most of the time if there is anything i can help you with. although peaceful we do have horses and run a business from the farm, we tend to get started early in the morning especially in the summer, we very much hope this should not disturb you. Colyton is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty, close to the Jurassic coast. the area is fantastic for walking and bird watching. there are many lovely towns and villages along the coast, such as Sidmouth, Lyme Regis, Beer and Branscombe. Seaton has a mile long beach which is very safe to swim from. there are several good eating pubs locally, just ask me for recommendations. we are pretty remote ! Colyton is within walking distance. approx 1.5 miles. a car or bikes are useful. there is no public transport, and taxis are hard to come by. there is a tram which runs from Colyton to Seaton. the nearest train station is Axminster, but dont expect there to be a row of taxis outside ! i can pick you up possibly if that helps. We mainly keep horses both to ride and to drive. you are more than welcome to see them, occasionally if we are out for a drive in the carriage, you could come with us. you are more than welcome to bring dogs, but please keep them on a lead while on the Farm, there is loads of space very near by where they can run around off the lead. also please bring some sort of bedding for your dog, i would preffer if they were not on the bed. thanks
