Bijoux Annex, Luxury Hot Tub and Private Patio
Our well appointed, bijoux annex enables guests to fully self cater & enjoy its private patio and shared luxury hydropool. This contemporary annex is a 7 minute walk from reliable public transport where the centre of Bath can be reached in 5 mins, or an easy 30 min walk along leafy Ralph Allen Drive. In quiet surroundings so close to the Bath Skyline, off road parking is always available. Recommended cleaning procedures to ensure high standards of hygiene are kept. A freshly prepared breakfast is included with Nespresso coffee machine, speciality teas, fresh bread, eggs, granola and yoghurt. Should you wish to prepare further meals we have an induction hob, microwave and grill. The bed holds a kingsize mattress of high quality and the shower provides a super drenching. The Annex has USB ports for phones and tablets and underfloor heating. An iron, board and hairdryer are supplied for your use. Our patio is completely private and lit to maximise its use in the evenings. Behind the patio fence you can gain access to our hot tub in our private garden which can be made solely available for your enjoyment at a time arranged to suit you. Our village, Combe Down, has immediate access to National Trust's Bath Skyline, Prior Park and Sustains Cycle network of the Kennet and Avon Canal. It is a beautiful village with its own award winning Deli and Fish and Chip shop boasting the original site from which Bath's renowned stone was mined. The University is also just a 5 minute drive. (There is no added cleaning fee to this price.) Parking is available directly in front of our home or at the bottom of the slope to the left of our driveway. Our hot tub is available for guests to use all year round. Don't be put off by rain, snow or cold weather. It's fabulously warm. Your access to the tub is through a gate from your patio into our garden. Arrangements to suit your preferred timings can be made directly with Jo, your host, and the tub and our garden are then made quite private for your use. You can enjoy relaxing in our tub in this additional space with total privacy. I live on site and can welcome you personally or alternatively you can check-in independently by use of the key code for the key safe at the entrance. I am on hand and contactable should you need any assistance. Our neighbourhood is quiet and rural, despite it's close proximity to the city. We live in a no-through road with neighbours. There is a short cut over open grounds towards the village and Ralph Allen Drive. Ralph Allen drive takes about 30 minutes to walk down to the city and is a beautiful walk past Prior Park. Locals often walk into town and catch the bus back up the hill. This way you can avoid heavy traffic and parking difficulties and feel free to enjoy the city for as long as you like. The buses are very regular and the one way journey is about 5 minutes from the central bus station. If you arrive by train you only need to turn left to find the central bus station servicing the company 'First'. Catch Number 2 to Combe Down. (Usually departing every 15 mins) Little Westside is a 5 minute walk from the stop at the top of Ralph Allen Drive. A street maps app can direct you towards the BnB. If you are walking, take a short cut through Monkton prep school entrance ( 100m further on the right. ) Stay left across the pitch for 50 m and steps will lead you down into our neighbourhood. We are a detached home 20m in ; grey doors and iron mangle. Any problems do call. This area of Bath is unusually flat and easy to walk and cycle. A Co op shop is just a 10 minute walk away in the village which stocks most provisions. I provide a comprehensive guide of the area for you to use during your stay.
