This traditional Greek stone house is comfortable, cool and light with a rustic yet modern interior. A veranda overlooks the beautiful traditional working village of Vasilitsi. Situated in the mountains, you're about 5 minutes drive from a stunning 2km long beach, Mimi. This leads to the golden sands of Zaga beach, in the Venetian city of Koroni. Immerse yourself in Greek history and culture, find opportunities to explore stunning locations and relax on fantastic beaches. Two bedrooms: one doubleroom and a bunk bed room (sleeps two), plus there are two sofa beds (1 double, 1 single) in the light and breezy lounge. There's a dining room with a table that seats six, and two verandas. The large veranda overlooks the small enclosed courtyard with traditional bread oven and hammock, with views of the surrounding houses. Underneath the house is a cellar which we have started converting into another living area and which provides plenty of room for storing bikes etc. Guests have access to all parts of the house. My friend who lives opposite will be available to give you the keys and help where she can. Vasilitsi is a working village, there are two supermarkets, a taverna, and a great selection of traditional cafes with delicious foods, local wines for great evenings out. The night life includes occasional traditional Greek music nights, and loads of local events are organised throughout the summer. You will need a car to take full advantage of the location. There is very limited public transport, and hire cars are available from the nearest airport (Kalamata - 1hr away). Parking is on the street but plentiful. My house isn't far from neighbouring towns with interesting places to explore, such as the Monastery and Venetian castle at Koroni. The beautiful villages of Methoni, Finikounda and Pylos are all within 30mins drive and well worth a visit.
