The space includes one double and one twin bedroom, bathroom with shower and washing machine, living room with kitchenette, chair bed and fireplace. Located 100 mt. far from the main square of the village. The space can be booked as short term accommodation; we offer the widest assistance to guests, even to manage short and medium range excursions, either for tourism, hiking and mountaineering and wine and food. The village of Alfedena, shows many attractions: the ruins of the old castle with one of the rare octagone towers of central Italy, the remains of some old houses (the oldest dated 1504); furthermore, the Church of the Saints Peter and Paul - destroyed and rebuilt after WWII, that maintains a Romanic inspired shape and a precious medieval sone carved portal, the Archaeologic Samnites Museum A. De Nino, the ancient walls of the Samnites Acropolis of Curino. The area where Alfedena is located, is one of the most beautiful mountain regions of central Italy and offers many excursions all around, under many perspectives: nature, mountain, sport, horse riding, archaeology and paleontology as well as wine and food. From the extensive network of trails of both sides of the mountain ranges of Abruzzo, Lazio e Molise National Park and the Mainarde Molisane, based on the villages of Alfedena itself, Barrea, Villetta Barrea, Civitella Alfedena, Opi and Pescasseroli to the characteristic Wall Paints and the Paleontologic "Hoplitomeryx" Center of the nearest village of Scontrone, to the Paleontologic Museum of Isernia, until the local cross country ski tracks (info: Sci Club Alfedena - (URL HIDDEN) in Pianoro Campitelli a wonderful natural scenery, to the ski slopes of Pescasseroli and - most of all - Roccaraso-Aremogna. Alfedena is furthermore located on the track of the old railroad Sulmona-Carpinone, mostly known as the "Trans-Siberian of Italy", recently restored and reactivated as Historical train.
