Perfect quite countryside hideaway with alpacas

Are you looking for peace, seclusion, and nature? Then our Wehri Studio is the perfect hideaway for you. The studio is ideal for 1 - 2 persons (+ max. 1 child). The Wehri is a detached former farm, 2.5 km from Andelfingen. It consists of the main house where your hosts live with two big peaceful dogs, the barn where 4 alpacas are at home, and the studio which is located between the barn and the main house. Our Wehri Studio has about 35 square meters in the main room. With bathroom and balcony, it’s about 50 square meters. It has beautiful half-timbered details and a specious height of about 6 meters. Additionally, you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the landscape from the sweet balcony. It is equipped as followed: Tatami bed with Futon mattress (180x200cm) Big cozy designer couch to hang out Extendible table with 4 chairs and room for 4 to 6 people or a big home office space Well equipped kitchenette (Electric kettle, portafilter coffee machine, Kitchen Aid mixer, fridge, small oven, 2 Ceramic stovetops, kitchen towels, dish liquid, hand soap, kitchen roll, dishes, cutlery, salt, pepper, vinegar, oil, some tee) Neat bathroom with toilette, shower, and space for your beauty items plus towels, hand soap, and 4 rolls of toilette paper Snugly balcony with a small table, 2 chairs, and a beautiful view of apple trees. Work in the Wehri Studio and take a break in nature within a minute to reboot your head. The Studio comes with a separate entrance, doorbell, and post box. The studio and balcony are used by our guests exclusively. Get in touch with us via email, phone, or in-person when you stay at the Wehri. The river Thur is just 500 meters away from the Wehri. That’s also where the nature reserve Thurauen is starting, one of the biggest “Auenland” in Switzerland. Explore the winegrowing region “Zuercher Weinland” with its many hiking trails and wineries to visit Wonder around Andelfingen to find the nice half-timbered houses. Visit the amazing garden of the castle of Andelfingen and if you are into herbs, do not miss the lovely herb garden. There are a couple of cute farm shops, where you get local regional veggies and fruits and other delicious self-made stuff. The Rhein river is just 5 km away. We recommend a hike alongside the Thur where you pass by a couple of BBQ spots and nice places riverside for a picnic. Sports: The trails in the area are ideal for running or hiking. If you are into racing bikes, there are plenty of routes with little traffic. Water sports: You can go for a swim in the Thur and take a drift from Kleinandelfingen almost to the Wehri. Of course, you can also go in a kayak, Kanu, or rubber boat. There is a nice route, starting at the Wehri and floating to the Rhein and then to Rüdlingen, which takes 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on the height. The area is a hot spot for ornithologists. The Thurauen are the home of kingfishers, little egrets, sandpipers, goosanders, tawny owls, peckers, and so on. There are also beavers living at the river. The Wehri can easily be reached by car or motorbike. We have room for parking here and a charging station for electric vehicles (ask for the fees). You can reach Andelfingen with public transport directly and easily from Zurich, Schaffhausen, Kreuzlingen or Winterthur. There are several regional express trains and subways. For the last mile to the Wehri, we recommend Taxi or Uber (2.5 km). By Car: Mins. to Winterthur and Schaffhausen, 40 Mins. to Zurich By Train (Andelfingen Station): 15 Mins. to Winterthur, 20 Mins. to Schaffhausen, 40 Mins. to Zurich main station. Shopping Kleinandelfingen: Coop, Migros, Denner, Volg, Bakery Andelfingen: Volg, farmers shops, organic shop, bakery, pharmacy Restaurants There are different restaurants in the area. For more info, you can contact us during your stay. We are happy to give you some tips. - Maximum 1 child. Sleeping either on the couch or please bring your own bed. - Four-legged friends are welcome. Depending on their temper make use of the leash to ensure peace with our alpacas, dogs, and passing by hikers. Thank you. - The Wehri is a smoke-free area. If you urgently need to have a smoke, just take a little walk around the fields and dispose of the stub in the bin. Thank you. - If you are interested in doing events at The Wehri, please get in touch with us. - Please get rid of your shoes, when in the studio. Take slippers with you or buy the ones provided for 5 CHF. - The Wehri is a peaceful and quiet place.
