Lion's Den: Cottage in heart of quaint market town

Our grade II listed cottage is situated in the quaint market town of Ellesmere and is ideally located for exploring the glorious Shropshire countryside and the historical Welsh border towns. There are excellent local transport links with buses to Shrewsbury and Gobowen train stations making Ellesmere a great base to explore near and far. Ellesmere itself has a great selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes and also a good selection of independent shops as well as a supermarket. Our 2 story cottage has many original features such as beams and exposed brick but with all the modern comforts guests expect. A well equipped kitchen including a dishwasher will make it easy for self catering and our utility room has a washer/dryer for longer stays. The master bedroom has a super king sized bed and the second bedroom is arranged as 2 singles. The main shower room is on the 1st floor and the ground floor also has a cloakroom/WC. A lounge/dining room has a large tv and comfortable seating. WiFi is provided. We also include a free parking pass for the main the main carpark in Ellesmere which is just around the corner from lions den. Guests will have sole access to the entire cottage during their stay. The cottage is extremely comfortable and is specifically set-up for guests. The cottage is set-up to enable self check in but we can arrange to meet you at the property if preferred. I live only a short walk from the cottage so can be available when needed and I am happy to help with local transport plans and give recommendations on places to visit. Bus services are available very close by with services to Shrewsbury, Oswestry and Gobowen train station. Gobowen train station is a 20 minute drive away and has free parking. There are lots of great walks on the doorstep including along the canal and around the mere to keep the more energetic entertained.
