The Bothy; new barn conversion near St Andrews

Welcome to The Bothy ! A newly renovated barn space forming a stunning one bed apartment enjoying spectacular views across local countryside. The property consists of a beautiful bedroom with superking bed (can also be set up as twin single beds) with views over a walled garden. The living area has a brand new kitchen and sitting room with woodturning stove. Located just 7 miles from St Andrews you can enjoy the tranquil location within easy reach of the historic town 10 minutes drive away. The Bothy is located in the upstairs part of a new barn conversion above an original carriage house. Traditionally a Bothy is a resting place for weary travellers however we have renovated the space to a much higher standard ! You enter downstairs into a hallway area (which is only accessed by Bothy Guests and us, the Hosts). Climb beautifully polished wooden stairs to The Bothy front door and enter in to your private space. Enjoy a lovely bedroom with superking bed (or twin single beds if you prefer) which overlooks the walled garden and woodland beyond. The bathroom is ensuite and has a power shower and corner bath, wash hand basin and WC as well as beautiful tiles and underfloor heating to keep you cosy on the cooler days. The living space is at the front of the apartment and has the most amazing view over surrounding countryside. Sit back and relax on the oversized sofa with the woodburning stove in front of you ! The kitchen forms part of the open plan living space and has all modern conveniences and is fully equipped including fridge freezer and microwave. There is a dining area with round table and 4 chairs. The Bothy is ideal for 2 people. The Bothy is only accessed by guests. The front entrance can also be accessed by the host family The garden space is to share but please respect our privacy and that of The Beehouse next door We are available during your stay as we live next door in Dairsie Manse. We can be involved as you like or leave you alone in peace. The Bothy is located 2 miles from Cupar with a great selection of supermarkets and local shops. St Andrews is 7 miles away and easily accessible by car (10 minutes) and there are good bus links to both. We live in a foody mecca with plenty of amazing eateries within easy reach. The Bothy is located in a peaceful tranquil location but we are well connected to road and public transport. You can walk out of the door into lovely countryside and there is plenty to explore by foot or car. The Beehouse is a 3 bedroom house opposite The Bothy and available for self catering holidays as well. There is ample parking on the property but we may ask you to move your vehicle so we can access our spaces as well
