House Bike Park Wales Accommodation, Taff Trail

The property is located in Abercanaid close to Bike Park Wales (less than 0.5 miles), the Taff Trail and the Brecon Beacons. A renovated miners cottage, you'll love its cosy atmosphere with all the home comforts you could want. Our house is great for couples, business travellers, walkers, cyclists, families (with kids). Basic cupboard staples like salt/pepper, cooking oil, sauces and jams are available. Welcome pack of fresh bread, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits and cereal are included FOC. A two bedroomed terraced ex-miners cottage built in 1837. When you stay you have the entire house and garden to yourselves. There is a private parking space at the rear of the property for one car. Bike washing facilities and if you have stayed with us before 2019 you may not know but we installed a roof to make our bike storage completely secure (Easter 2019). Our place is less than half a mile away from bike park Wales and a few hundred yards from the Taff Trail. We are approximately 20 minutes by car from the Brecon Beacons and 40 minutes by car from Cardiff. Due to the coronavirus, we’re taking extra steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces between reservations. You have access to the entire house, garden and a parking space for ONE car. There is secure bike storage at the property, we also do not mind if you want to take your cleaned bikes into the house if you do not like the bike storage provided. There is a private parking space at the rear of the property for ONE car. The house has an alarm system. It also has a fully integrated hard wired smoke alarm installed. We are available by text, phone and email. We can be there in person if you wish but we find that most of our guests like to be left to their own devices. Lovely neighbours and a friendly community. Our property is opposite the Colliers Arms pub. We have a private parking space at the rear of the property for people who are at the property to use. Our home is a short walk from Pentre-bach railway station. This station mainly serves the villages of Pentrebach and Abercanaid in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales. It is located on the Merthyr branch of the Merthyr Line. Passenger services are provided by Transport for Wales. You can take this train to Cardiff it takes roughly 58 minutes and costs approximately £10 return (as at 2020). You can get a quicker train to Cardiff from the main Merthyr Tydfil station in town. The house comfortably sleeps 5 adults with a double and three single beds. In addition to these there is a pull out single in one of the bedrooms (for a child) and a double sofa bed in the lounge. If you will be expecting to use the 3 extra sleeping options (ie the pullout single or sofa bed), you would need to let us know in advance of your stay so we can provide the bedding for them.
