Equipped with a fridge which has small freezer box; electric cafetiere, toaster and kettle. Outside, there is a seating area, where you can enjoy breakfast 'al fresco' or morning coffee, whilst admiring the beautiful view of the local countryside. Le Soleil is ideally situated for sight seeing, 30 minutes from the spa town of Vichy, with lots of opportunity for shopping in boutiques, having lunch at the lovely restaurants, in town or on the river. The theme park of Volcania is within easy reach via A71, providing an excellent day out for all the family. How about visiting a vin yard? The local producer of Saint Pourcain wines is close by; perhaps combine this with a visit to the market of Saint Pourcain on a Saturday. Closer to home, there is the medi evil village of Charroux, offering many interesting and original boutique shops and lovely restaurants. Charroux hosts a brocante at the end of April and is always a great place to find interesting pieces. All of the space in Le Soleil is available for our guests to relax and enjoy. The garden area adjoining the gite is also available to our guests for relaxation, alfresco dining and generally for bonnes heures. You may be visited by our chickens, who are free to wander around the garden, and might come and cheekily beg tidbits from you - But most of the time, they are busily looking for grubs etc, all around the garden and potager. There is ample parking available as you enter the gates, with gravelled paths, leading to the gite The gite is attached to our house, and we will be in and around the property, looking after our potager and chickens. Our chickens lay regularly, in their nest boxes (well trained) and you are welcome to have fresh, organic eggs delivered and you can pick herbs growing in the garden for you cooking. If you cant find the herb you are looking for, we will be happy to point it out, if we have it. We enjoy socialising with our guests, but we are equally happy for guests to be autonomous, but we are here if needed. Naves has wonderful views over the surrounding area, being on a plateau. There are many interesting and tranquil walks within the village, following centuries old pathways through fields which have been worked for generations, and we often have stunning views of sunflowers. Naves has been inhabited for millenia, and we have a 7th centuary church, with beautiful views and an 11th centuary castle, which is now quite ruined. In (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) , the lord of this place, Hugues de Naves, who was in conflict with Archambaud VII de Bourbon , prefered to give his castle and his lordship to the archbishop of Bourges, Pierre de La Chatre . The archbishops of Bourges enlarged and strengthened the castle, which was at the limit of their dioceses and they loved coming to stay until the end of the xv th century at least. Jean Coeur , son of Jacques Coeur and archbishop of Bourges, had work done in the castle and the arms of the Coeur family can be seen on the facade and mantels the chimneys. Although there are no current tours available The building was listed as a historic monument in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) As a thriving, working village, you will hear and see farm machinary, and this can mean during harvest time, late into the evening. The village is very welcoming, and if you fancy joining in the weekly game of boules, you can borrow a set from us, and we can point you in the right direction. Naves is in a rural setting, and really, a car is necessary - we have ample private parking on the property. Vichy with train station to Paris is only 35 minutes away Clermont-Ferrand with airport is 45 minutes Numéro de Siret : (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) Please note that we are required to collect Taxe de Sejour of 0.55 € per person, per night over the age of 10 years
