The beach is sandy, with low rocks & pools to the sides of the beach and backed by a shingle and rocky bank and cliffs. Explore further along the coastal path and you'll find other small inlets and coves. There are various walks right from the door, our favourite being the coastal path (500m away) which goes all the way round the island, as well as public footpaths which crisscross the local farmland nearby. After your day out have a drink across the road admiring the view from the terrace at The Church Bay Inn, or if afternoon tea is more your style one of the Wavecrest Cafe's fabulous home baked scones with strawberries and cream. Then treat yourself to a meal at the local seafood restaurant - all within a short walk from Pen y Graig. Please contact individual businesses for opening times which vary throughout the year.
