Cosy Grade II listed cottage in conservation area
Button Cottage is a characterful Grade II Listed cottage in a popular conservation area in the village of Tintinhull, with a host of original features and a large woodburning stove. The two double bedrooms are surprisingly large and airy, both with lovely iron beds. The whole property is newly renovated with a stylish kitchen with dining area and pretty back garden with patio. There is a downstairs bathroom with bath and shower. PLEASE CHECK PRICING FOR SHORT BREAKS BEFORE BOOKING. The kitchen is a modern grey shaker style with a farmhouse table and seating for four at one end. There's an integrated washing machine and fridge freezer and all the bits and bobs you'll need for all your culinary needs. The rear garden has a patio area for outside dining and a small lawn area. It overlooks the neighbouring gardens and fields. There's a barrel bbq for your use, but you will need to bring charcoal. Parking is on the lane at the front of the cottage. The stairs are original and because this is a listed building cannot be altered. As such, they are narrow and steep. There are handrails on both sides, but care should be taken. Also, the bedroom doors upstairs open straight onto the stairs, so this property may not be suitable for everyone. Stays of less than 7 days are not always priced correctly. Please check prior to booking as you might save some money! If you are looking for a stay of three weeks or more, please check first to see if any discount could be applied. It's a quiet village, easy to drive around, but nicer to stroll so you can look at all the interesting buildings. I live about half an hour away. This is a self catering property with access via a keybox. I can, of course, be contacted in case of emergency. The village of Tintinhull is simply lovely. There are some very grand buildings including Tintinhull House and Gardens and the local and popular pub. The cottage sits in the conservation area with more interesting buildings. There is an outdoor swimming pool a couple of minutes walk up the lane and a couple of tennis courts, both of which can be booked by the hour. Whilst Tintinhull is a lovely quiet village it is surrounded by many interesting places to visit. Being a couple of minutes away from the A303, it is very easy to get out and about and explore further. This area of Somerset boasts an abundance of things to do - the Somerset Levels, Glastonbury, Wells, Bath, the Somerset and Dorset coastlines, Ham Hill, Montacute, Bruton - and many more. There is also excellent walking, cycling, kayaking and birdwatching on the levels.
