242 Gowrie Farm is situated on the Island Dam facing the 15th "signature" hole in Gowrie Golf estate. The house comprises 4 en suite bedrooms - ideal for a 4-ball + families. Fully equipped + dishwasher. Servicing: Maid for yr account(s/t avail. Situated on Island Dam - preferred fly fishing dam on Gowrie Farm. Gowrie golf course. Tennis court on the farm 2 fire places + 5 gas heaters (weather = cold in winter) Garage + Basement off limits please. Items in garage / basement for use only with specific prior arrangement please. Please note that we are not permanent residents in Gowrie - only rent the house to people we are comfortable to have as tenants - and guests will have to find their own way to some extent. The maid typically comes in daily. Maria gets paid R200/day - for tenants account - please settle her directly. Maria is completely trustworthy, diligent, thorough and has complete run of the house in our absence. She finds her own way to Gowrie. Maid's will make your stay a less admin intensive - less dishes, bed-making etc, more pleasurable - well worth the R200/day). She does have other jobs during the week, but we can inquire re availability. House Rules: Maid at R200/day for your stay (for your account). Pse settle her directly please. This also helps her support her family. (She struggles to find work during the quiet times and she, her family will be delighted, grateful for the work). Good restaurants: Lapa Linga open for lunch but dinner only on Fridays - Fri night booking essential. Trebedore for breakfast / lunch LaLampara (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) / Look on TripAdvisor for contact details. SELF CATERING: Stock up on food , consumables at SPAR (Open till 6pm (5 on Sundays). House consumables: House is fairly well stocked - feel free to help yourselves (e.g. should you arrive late) ,but likewise please also feel free to reciprocate, re-stock if anything is short e.g. cleaning materials (house run by remote control (re-stocking not easy (Maria has to walk to the shops and back)) - help keeping house stocked in our absence = much appreciated - leave the house as you found it (or would like to have found it)). Tks. Please can you also help Maria out with cleaning supplies, house basics that get consumed (not easy for her to get to the shops - or for us to run house by remote control) - please ask her what she needs, keep house well stocked.. (Rather err on the side of over-stocking please) Tks
