La casa di Teresa, Levà
'La casa di Teresa' is located on the top floor of the 'Secchereccio' in the village of Leva, on top of Sori's valley. Newly renovated is part of a 17th century building and used to be the home of the village's grocer owners, reachable on foot (100m from the car park) is made of two floors with the master bedroom located in the beautiful attic. Not far from the beaches and the seaside (7km) it also ideal for those looking to discover the region's country side. In the apartment you will find beautiful original features like the wooden beams as well as antiques and old utensils that belonged to the house or were found in the area. We wanted to preserve and celebrate the rich history of the house (inhabited by the owners of village's general store, located on the first floor and also available to rent) by bringing back to life original objects and furniture in the apartment. We are are at your disposal for reccommendations and advice in order to make your stay an all encompassing experience, please do ask us about places to visit in the area as well as restaurants and the many events happening in our valley. We are more than happy to help with any request and information. Leva is located on the top of Sori's valley and it is surrounded by olive groves and beautiful woodland. The hamlet developes around small pedestrian lanes characterised by the typical stone houses, Leva is extremely quiet with a population of around 40 inhabitants. The village square, where the free carpark is located, is also one of the local bus's stop, from here you can get to Sori (we can provide the bus timetable if needed). It is also possible to reach Sori, and other villages in the valley, on foot along a series of footpaths. Many 'sagre' (village fete) are taking place in the summer months (june-august) almost every weekend in Sori's and neighbouring valleys , visiting these events will give our guests a unique insight into the local traditional cousine as well as the area's folk traditions and heritage. Every year on the 8th of September the town of Recco hosts the 'sagra del fuoco', three days of spectacular pyrotechninc shows in a competition between the town's neighborhoods, this is of course another opportunity to sample the local specialities. The 'sagre' calendar is packed full, we'll be able advise on the most interesting ones to visit. The valley also offers many beautiful foot paths for those who enjoy walking , there is also a rock climbing site 1km away from the house.
