Get away from it all!!!

This charming cottage is located in the center of the small village of Dompierre-sur-Authie in the Somme department of France. It is ideal for those seeking a relaxing family holiday, away from modern hi tech distractions. it is only a short drive to Auxi-le-Chateau or Hesdin where you will find supermarkets, shops, cafes (with WiFi), restaurants, boulangeries and a swimming pool and 10 pin bowling alley. There is a market in Hesdin every Thursday morning which is well worth a visit. This cottage is in deepest rural France. It is an old house, with all the foibles that you would expect from an aged property. The property is thoroughly cleaned before each arrival, however spiders do what spiders do, so there may be a stray cobweb rebuilt after the clean. It is ideal for those who want a digital detox as there is no WiFi, television or other distractions from nature. Please also note that mobile phone signals are patchy in this part of France. Caretakers are employed to deal with any problems you may have during your stay The cottage is adjacent to a Chateau. There is a slow running stream at the bottom of the garden ideal for swimming. The village of Dompierre has no restaurants or bars, however there is a highly recommended restaurant in Douriez, which is the next village. A car is essential.
