The Five Pilchards Inn is a hidden gem situated in the charming Cornish village of Porthallow Cove, an old fishing village in West Cornwall. The Five Pilchards Inn is a Free House, restaurant, and bed and breakfast, situated next to the beach and established in 1830. The Inn shut its doors in early 2019, but was acquired later that year by Pralla Limited, committed and dedicated to renovating, refurbishing and bringing this focal point of Porthallow back to life. Large superking bedded room overlooking the sea/beach and village of Porthallow.All of our rooms are en-suite and have free wifi. They all contain a flat screen SMART HD televisions, dressing table area with a hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and either a comfortable King-size or Super King size bed. There has only only been 16 landlords in the Inns 190 year history. Purchased by Pralla Ltd in November 2019 who are committed to renovating and refurbishing this hidden gem after a period of closure. This aim is to create a community focussed pub with excellent accommodation within a amazing Cornish village that offers a warm welcome to both locals and visitors all year round. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the Lizard Peninsula offers ocean views together with some of the most spectacular scenery in the UK. The most southerly place in Britain, Lizard Point, boasts dramatic cliffs and turquoise seas. Kynance Cove, with its white beaches and rock stacks, stretches from Lizard Point to Gwennap Head. Local attractions include Poldark Mine, the Cornish Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Theme Park, and the National Trust’s Godolphin Estate to name but a few.
