Formerly the village chapel, this beautiful property offers modern features and comforts while retaining much of its historical charm. The property sleeps eight guests in four double bedrooms (one of which is situated in a lovely annexe in the garden), with three bathrooms and a separate WC. The spacious living room is situated in the original nave, with an impressive arched oak entrance door, high ceilings, a 75-inch smart TV and a cosy fireplace against an exposed Cotswold stone wall. The bright and modern eat-in kitchen enjoys views over the large and beautiful garden through striking bifold doors. Guests have full private access to the Chapel, its driveway and its gardens. The delightful village of Poulton offers a wonderful spot from which to explore the Cotswolds. Within the village you will find an award-winning gastropub (The Falcon Inn), one of the region’s best coffee shops (The Gilbertine Kitchen), a well-known cycle shop (Performance Cycles), a lovely 19th century church, a recreation ground (for cricket and rugby) and a large children’s playground. Less than a mile outside of the village you will also find Poulton Hill Estate Vinyard where you can sample their selection of award-winning English wines. The village offers a range of options for walks, hikes and cycles, including to nearby villages Meysey Hampton and Ampney Crucis, both of which have lovely pubs. The region’s top attractions can all be readily accessed by car: Cirencester (5 miles), Fairford (3 miles), Bibury (4 miles), Southrop (7 miles) Burford (13 miles), Bourton-on-the-Water – the Venice of the Cotswolds (15 miles), Stow-on-the-Wold (20 miles). Both Cirencester and Fairford are accessible by bus. The Chapel offers parking for 5 cars. There is a bus than runs through Poulton to Fairford and Cirencester.
