Cosy and romantic chalet, perfect for families and couples, set in the picturesque village Hinterthal, surrounded by the Hochkönig mountains. Ski Amadé ski circuit is a 5min walk away. Great also for climbing, mountain biking, golfing and kaiaking. Elevated position in centre of village - 4 double bedrooms (2 ensuite and 1 with own entrance). Large open plan living, dining, kitchen space with fireplace and adjoing study with flat screen TV. Study can be turned into 5th bedroom with double sofa bed, own balcony and ensuite shower room. Large doors leading from living space onto terrace, garden and field. The entire chalet is yours We'd be delighted to not only welcome you and show you around but to also be available for any form of local knowledge required. We are a bilingual family (austrian and english), keen skiers, climbers and hikers. Hinterthal is a picturesque village full of austrian character, with a great variety of restaurants, mountain huts and bars. 3 neighbouring hotels have spas and swimming pools available for use. Horse-drawn sledges, tobogganing, cross country skiing, back country ski touring and snowshoe hikes are all brilliant winter activities available from the village. In the neighbouring village of Maria Alm as well as by the lake in Zell am See are first class golf courses. In near by Leogang is the world championship mountain bike course. We provide two car park spaces of which one is covered. However, Hinterthal is so compact that a car is not necessary. A bus stop is at the bottom of our drive. The local train station is in Saalfelden, a 15 minute car journey away. The nearest airport is Salzburg, just under 1 hours drive. Other options are Munich, Linz and Innsbruck, all approx. 2 hours car journey away. We'd be happy to organise you airport transfers, food shopping service, home cooked food, BBQ, organise ski lessons, ski hire, bike rental and much more… Any overnight stay incurs a local tourist tax of €2 per adult. All linen and towels are included.
