The Beach House -- Cabanon Plage Popenguine

A family friendly beach cabin right on Popenguine beach. The house is elevated just above the beach providing gorgeous views from everywhere in the house. Surrounded by bougainvillea and lush trees the house feels very private and secluded. The huge covered terrace is where you will spend most of your time, eating and relaxing. This is a house made for enjoying the outdoors to the maximum but when you need to go indoors, you'll be comfy and cool. This is a real indoor/outdoor house. The terrace and stairs connects the two floors of the house which means that all of the living areas open up onto the outdoors. The kitchen is also only accessible through the terrace. The house has two main entrances, through a door in the back garden and from the door to the terrace. The house is great for families. High railings around all the terraces keep it safe and kids will love the bunk beds in the upstairs bedrooms. The boat house at the bottom of the stairs has boogie boards, surf boards, sand toys, parasols, chairs.. everything you need to enjoy the beach. Parents can easily watch the kids play down below from up on the terrace. You will also find some kids toys and books in the house. Omar is the caretaker of the house. He helped to build the house and knows everything about it. He is available to help with anything at all and normally comes to take care of the garden and beach area in the morning and afternoon. I am on (Hidden by Airbnb) or just a phone call away if necessary. Popenguine is a relaxed little beach town, but there is plenty to do! Next door you will find an adorable B&B with a lovely bar and pool. The natural reserve on the other side of the beach is great for long walks, and the the famous L'echo Cotier restaurant perfect for long drawn out meals. Terranga Bikes offers fantastic bike rides in the reserve and through the Poppin Popenguine group yoga, meditation, dance, and capoeira classes for adults and kids can be organized. Surfers will find fantastic waves fifteen minutes away by car at Pierre de Lisse. Accrobaobab and Bandia are also about a half an hour away by car. The house is only accessible by foot. If you are planning on excursions to places like Bandia or to surf spots, you will need a car. Otherwise everything is accessible by foot. There are two little shops on the main road above the beach that have essentials.
