Modern holiday apartment with mountain view

A modern and beautiful holiday apartment with a wonderful view towards the German Alps. A separate bedroom with double bed. Living area with a fully equipped kitchen, sofas, TV, wifi and additional beds if needed. A bathroom with shower and a large balcony with morning sun. Hiking trails begin directly from the house. The famous Neuschwanstein castle and the beautiful old town of Füssen are only 10 km away. You can have your peace or get to know your hosts - we live next door - you decide! A beautiful, modern apartment (50m²) with a large balcony and mountain view from all rooms. There is a fully equipped kitchen with enough space to cook and a dining table for up to four persons. In the living room you have two sofas, a modern 46 inch TV and access to the large balcony. Fast wireless Internet is available in all the rooms. The comfortable double bed in the separate bedroom is 160x200cm in size and the sleeper sofa in living room can be opened as a second double bed (180x200 cm) or two beds (90x200 cm each) if needed. The bathroom with shower is bright and modern. Towels, shampoo and shower gel are naturally provided. Two shops with local cheese and meat specialties are just a couple of minutes away by foot. The cheese shop has a small selection of other products, you can e.g. get fresh bread and rolls for breakfast there. The Edeka supermarket a few minutes further by foot offers a larger selection, and the neighbouring village has a small organic food store. To eat out, there are three restaurants and a couple of nice cafes within 5-10 minutes by foot. The local bus stop is directly next to the house. Buses to Schwangau (castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau) and Füssen run approximately once per hour, to Garmisch a few times per day. Füssen has a train connection to Munich every hour. If you come by car, we have a private parking place for you. For bicycles there's a storage room inside in the cellar. The holiday apartment is located in an house with a total of 11 apartments, two floors up from the ground level. We live in the apartment right next door. In the cellar, there is a storage for bicycles and a laundry room with a coin operated washing machine and dryer. You are welcome to ring the doorbell and come to get to know us! We go often hiking and cycling, know the region and are happy to give you tips about where to go for a day trip. You can also borrow hiking maps of the area. Famous sights nearby: The castles Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, the old town of Füssen and the Wies church. And at the end of the day, you can relax in the pools and saunas of the Kristall Therme spa in Schwangau. Hiking: many beautiful routes in the area, from easy walks to challenging climbing routes, some starting right from the village. You can also take a chairlift up to Buchenberg right next to the village or a cable car to the top of Tegelberg, about 7 km away, with amazing views of the region. We have walked nearly all of the hiking routes in the area, please ask us for more information! Cycling: A very popular day trip is to cycle around the Forggensee lake (about 30 km), with beautiful views, several beaches and cafes along the route. Mountain bike enthusiasts can head out to the Halblech valley with steep routes going up the surrounding mountains. We are also located directly on the long distance cycling routes "Lake Constance to Königssee" and "Romantic Road". Water sports: There are about a dozen lakes within 20 km from here (nearest ones only about 3 kilometers away), which are perfect for sunbathing and swimming in the summer. You can also rent pedal boats, canoes and kayaks. For the Adventurous: How about a tandem flight with an experienced paraglider? One of their most popular starting points is at Buchenberg, right next to our village. Within easy reach by car there are also stunning gorges, a 400 meter long suspension footbridge between two mountains, climbing parks for kids and much more, just ask! Füssen has a train connection to Munich and Augsburg every hour. If you come by car, we have a private parking place for you. For bicycles there's a storage room inside in the cellar. Blankets, bedsheets, towels and other essentials (shampoo, soap etc.) are provided. Washing maschine and dryer can be used towards a small cash payment. The visitor tax of the municipality of Halblech is included in the price.
