Located only 3.6 miles away from Rijeka city centre, 9.3 miles from the Jewel of Adriatic - Opatija, and 17 miles from Rijeka Airport, we offer a peaceful accommodation only a few meters away from the pebble beaches that span over 2 miles of seaside. A secluded newly built apartment in north-west Croatia, that is in touch with nature but close to the city. Just a few meters away from the pebble beaches that span over 2 miles of seaside, with a great choice of different types of beaches and hidden little bays, in combination with the warm crystal clear Adriatic sea, is what makes this accommodation attractive and exciting. Guests are granted the master gate key, the beach passage key as well as the key to the apartment. These are all the points the guest needs for undisturbed access at any time. For the guests that have a transport vehicle, private shared-parking will be provided but in the case of overbooked private parking, guests can park on the public parking a few meters away from the house. Guests are required to register (providing their documents) on the first day of stay so that the owner can give them the keys and show them around the property, also to leave the key at the end of their stay (which shouldn't be longer than until 12:00). Of course guests are free to ask the owner for any information they might need. This is a small neighbourhood where most of the house owners are elderley and retired. Most of the neighbours are renting their houses or apartments throughout the year but especially during the summer season. Žurkovo beach is the most popular beach in the area around the city of Rijeka, (awarded with the Blue flag for most clean beach) because of the natural beauties relatively close to the city, but also for its diverse attractions which include tennis courts, restaurants, arcades and a diving centre. There are different types of beaches: medium secluded, small private ones that are usually accessible only by the sea, large beaches with lifeguards, beaches which allow pets, rocky beaches great for diving, paved plateaus, but most beaches are pebble beaches. Public transport in Rijeka is very efficient and cost-friendly. City buses will quickly bring you to the your selected destination. If you are using public transportation frequently it is cost-effective to buy a daily or weekly ticket. The nearest bus stop (Šoići) to the apartment is at the top of the main road approx. 200 metres away. Entertainment and gastronomy is an important part of Mediterranean way of living, which Rijeka is certainly not lacking in. The gastronomic offer of this city is of high quality and diversity. There are many restaurants and taverns, pizzerias and fast food restaurants that have managed to put the quality even within the "junk food". We recommend visiting Trsat castle, as well as the peak of Učka mountain, Opatia, beach Medveja and Korzo (the main street). For shopping and entertainment the best place is Tower Center - the biggest shopping mall in this area, which offers a great range of shops, a cinema, gaming arcades, a casino and many eating places.
