VILA EMILIA - Eco Green Villa in Countryside

This traditional boutique style villa located in our sustainable eco-farm and surrounded by nature with a view of our green farmland gives you a real taste of a Portuguese countryside experience. Or if you want an escape from all the noise and chaos of the plastic world, then Vila Emilia Country-home is the perfect place for you. 111500/AL The Villa Emilia aka white Villa Country-home is the perfect getaway for families, friends or companies to unplug and have a great time in nature. This is an eco villa in a sustainable farmstead, with typical and picturesque Portuguese design. The villa has a fully equipped kitchen. It has a style just like the old days, but it has a fridge, oven, washer, and dryer. There are 7 rooms. Five rooms are double while the other rooms are single. OFF SEASON BILLS ARE PAID SEPARATELY! Minimum stay 30 days. Outside the eco villa is vast garden with a recreational center and walking through a small gate is our home "Vila Ana Maria" aka pink Villa, with pool and a beautiful romantic green garden decorated with Roman statues. There is a little river flowing along with the division of the lands. The place is peaceful, quiet and very private. No one will come knocking on your door except when we invite you down to dine and taste authentic Portuguese cuisine made with love by my mom, Ana. The place is also perfect for photoshoots, team building, company retreats, ceremonies, workshops and other momentous events in your life. It’s easy to get to by train or car since it’s just an hour away from Aveiro city centre. The Villa has 7 rooms, great for big families, group of friends or company retreats. Solo and eco-travelers are also welcome if you want to satisfy your need for solitude. Usually during June through October, we have a big swimming pool. You have access to all amenities like the barbecue area, garden, laundry area, and fruits and vegetable farms, you can also see our farm animals like chickens, goats, ducks, rabbits and our pet dogs and cats. My mom, Ana, is always around anytime of the day. And when I’m in Portugal, I usually just stay on the farm so I can help you get acquainted with our humble lifestyle. Basically, Ana brews magic with her hands from breakfast, lunch, and dinner as a unique farm-to-table experience. And if you so wish it, we can cook dishes for you that is tailored to your taste. The farm house is a bit far from the city. It is 20 kilometers from Aveiro City so you might need to get a ride to visit Aveiro. It’s very quiet around the neighborhood and since the farm is big and very private you will appreciate the noise coming from our farm animals. There is a public transportation nearby in Aguieira, just 2km away. But we also have a car and can drive you to the main train station just 10 minutes away. (Agueda estação) There’s not much in the form of entertainment except around July during the Agitagueda Art festival in a nearby small town of Agueda, Portugal. You will be amazed by the spectacular art installations of colorful umbrellas floating and decorating the streets. I recommend a visit for this time of the year. We do have beautiful rivers with sand areas to chill around the area. When your booking is confirmed we'll send a Travel Guide we prepared for you to check :) Don't forget to ask us about surfing, we rent out our boards to you or can hook you up with some friends that offer classes by Aveiro. It’s okay to host parties in the villa as long as you tell us beforehand so we can arrange something. The balcony is off limits to kids without adult supervision. Also the pool has a depth of 3m, so kids have to be constantly supervised.
