Le Gîte de l'Annicha
The Gite at L'Annicha offers you secluded privacy. The cosy dining/living room with sofa's and pellet stove for the colder days includes the equipped kitchen and a splendid view onto the neighbouring countryside. Upstairs you have a spacious 19m2 double room and a 17m2 room with three single beds. There are 2 toilets and 1 shower room in the gite. You will have your own entrance and private parking space. The terrace enjoys it's own little garden, as well as an incredible view on the sunset. Welcome to our home in the picturesque Quercy region of France, where you will get away from the hectic day-to-day and relax in a serene and authentic setting. L'Annicha is located on a fantastic 4.5 hectares of rolling countryside spanning the main house, barn house, gardens and soon-to-be lap pool. The estate also has a vegetable garden, grassland and a little oak-tree forest; all accessible during your stay with us. Roam around as much as you like. You will have your own parking, right in front of your terrace. Feel free to roam around the 4.5ha property with a huge prairie, a little oak forest, a vegetable garden, a bigger parking and an incredible sunset. The main house is where we live, but it is accessible as we run a BnB. You can get some games on loan. We are Tracy (Singaporean), Dirk (Belgian), Tix (our cat) and Roxy (our dog). After international careers we sought a change in lifestyle that took us all the way from bustling Singapore to the quiet South-West of France. We speak French, English, Dutch, German, Italian, Malay, Mandarin and Cantonese. We are living on the premises (but in a separate house), so we are available for any information or support you might encounter. Yet we respect your privacy. Should you wish, we also offer breakfast service and several times a week home cooked meals. Montpezat de Quercy hosts houses from the 14th century onwards. The town centre (5km away) is very cosy and looks medieval. The main attraction point is the "Collegiale" dating from the 14th century which hosts a Flemish tapestry dating from the 16th century depicting the life of Saint Martin. It is in remarkable state. Walks and biking tours can start from our doorstep. Our prairie can even be used as exercise ground for paragliding. Golfs are available at driving distance. We are strategically located with many attractions within driving distance: Cahors (30') and its wineries, Saint-Cirque La Popie (45', a medieval town with colombages houses) and the Parc Naturel Regional des Causses du Quercy, Montauban (30') with the Musee Ingres, Moissac (45') with its UNESCO rated Abbey and Monastery, Cordes-sur-Ciel (1h) and Albi (1h15') with the magnificent Sainte Cecile Cathedral. Unfortunately having a car is a must, as public transport is virtually non-existent. The TV channels are only French, and the optical fibre still has to reach us. So enjoy the scenery while downloading.
