Gecko - River House

This thoughtfully designed cabin is ideal for a family vacation for up to 6 people. It has a large terrace over the Bojana river which is a perfect resting place, lounge, dining space or whatever you can imagine. Inside the cabin you will find a spacious living room with kitchen, above which are two bedrooms in the loft. Our river cabin provides unforgettable blend with a nature. With a river in front, dense forest in the back and sandy beaches on Adriatic coast just 1 km away you can have a vacation which you will never forget. We have been thinking about every little detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible, so in the house you will find absolutely everything you may need from dishes and spices to books and Netflix. You are renting the entire cabin, so the everything you find is yours, as long as you are our guest. We are a family with two kids, and this is our vacation home which we rent at this time. We like meeting our guests, but since we do not live here, we are not always in a position to do that. If we don't come to meet you, please don't mind about it and feel yourself like home. Our house is one of about 400 of them on Bojana river. During summer season, a lot of people comes to Ada Bojana for holidays. No public transport is available, and taxi ride to Ulcinj is about 12-15 euro. If you are flying to Montenegro via Podgorica or Tivat airports, taxi to the house will cost about 70 eur. We always advice our guests to have a vehicle (personal or rental car) as it is much easier to get around for groceries or go to the beach, also to explore the surroundings. The nearest store with basic groceries is just across the river, but for something more, you will have to go to Stoj, which is about 3km away. Beaches are 1-2 km away, but you can just swim in the river from the deck if you dont feel like going to the beach. Good thing to know, if you are planing to spend time here during July and Avgust, please note that it is a high season here, so expect: crowd, boats, parties, but from season 2019, that is not so much of a concern as the things are improving a lot. Regarding electricity, water pump is powered by it, so when we are out of electricity, it means no water, but usually, these shortages are not longer than couple of hours. Also good to know, tap water is not for drinking but we provide enough of drinkable water for guests.
