Modern Cosy Apartment (2), Chester Zoo 15 mins

The Springfield Apartments are modern and cosy, located in the lovely welsh village of Hawarden, ten minutes from Chester. We live next to the property (please see our other listing, The Coach House), the apartments are located just behind. The apartments are ideal for two adults. There are two apartments in total next to each other. (Please see are other listings and contact for more information). The apartments offer modern living with an open plan living space, a well equipped kitchen/dining area, with dishwasher, oven and hob, fridge/freezer. Tea/coffee/sugar, dishwasher tablets, washing up items are all supplied. Off the lounge is a separate bedroom with contemporary en-suite shower room, all under floor heated, wi-fi, smart TV in lounge and bedroom. The bedroom has a super-king bed which can be split as a twin. In the lounge area, two sofas, one if which is a sofa-bed. Outside is a large communal garden for all guests and parking. Please note no breakfast is provided. Lawned garden with seating area and barbecue. Other guests may also use the garden. We live next to the apartments and can be called upon if needed but we are also happy to respect your privacy. The annex of our main house also has guest accommodation with access to the garden area. We have two local pubs both serving food, the Fox & Grapes, The Glynne (currently closed due to Covid19) and The Old Grocery Restaurant (which also serves cocktails upstairs in the 'Parlour'). There is also a lovely coffee shop, the Gallery, a Chemist, Post Office, Hairdressers, Beauty Salons, Trilby Pheasant (clothes and gift shop) all within walking distance. Take a walk through the light green gates just opposite the Glynne and a lovely walk down to Hawarden castle awaits. The famous Galdstone Library (currently closed due to Covid19) is just across the road together with St Deiniol's Church. Hawarden Records Office is 2 minute walk away. Hawarden Farm Shop is just a 15 minute walk, this has a lovely outside play area, a cafe serving local produce, a deli and butchers counter. This is an ideal base to explore North Wales and Cheshire. For those who love walking, our village offers some lovely scenery or travel a little further and join the Watts Dyke footpath or take a walk up Moel Fammau. Other activities close by include cycling, at nearby Llandegla, or enjoy a round of golf at one of many golf courses. For children, Chester Zoo, Blue Planet Aquarium, Ice Skating, go-karting at The Circuit, Indoor Climbing Wall, Swimming Pools, all within 10 minute drive. Cheshire Oaks, the Designer Outlet is just a 10 minutes drive and has a wide choice of shops and restaurants. Even closer is Broughton Shopping park and Cineworld. For a day at the beach, Talacre, Rhyl and Llandudno are just over 30 mins drive. Chester Races are popular and easily reached by taxi in 10 minutes. Theatr Clwyd in Mold and Chester Storyhouse are approximately 15 minutes away. Travel a little further (1 hour approx) and Zip World, Bounce Below and the beautiful Snowdonia National Park await. Liverpool is easily reached by car or take the train from Hawarden Station. The apartment is very convenient for buses to Chester, Mold and train links to Liverpool and Wrexham. Part of the main house also has guest accommodation with access to the garden area but there really is room for everyone, with each apartment having it's own patio furniture to use. We have a new Cavachon puppy who is learning the rules of garden. Please let us know if you are not a dog person and we will keep her away from you. OUR CANCELLATION POLICY IS SET AT STRICT AND WILL NOT BE RELAXED. IT IS RECOMMENDED YOU LOOK FOR A PROPERTY WITH A FLEXIBLE CANCELLATION POLICY IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT ANY FUTURE COVID RESTRICTIONS THAT MAYBE IMPOSED.
