Church Cottage rests in the pretty village of Icklesham, overlooking the stunning countryside of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in East Sussex. The cottage itself is spacious yet cosy and has WiFi, SKY TV & a Hot tub. Life couldn't be better! There is a multitude of walks and cycle trails nearby, including the 1066 walk. Camber Sands, and its glorious sand dunes, as well as the picturesque medieval towns of Rye, Winchelsea and Hastings are all within 5 miles. Smoking is prohibited at this property. This property is not suitable for stag, hen or any free for all type of party. Access is via the side gate and key code to the back door and entrance in to the kitchen which is equipped with a kettle, teapot, toaster, fridge, freezer, microwave, electric hob, oven, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher. There is a kitchen with a small table and chairs and SKY TV. The downstairs cloakroom/boot room, just off the kitchen, contains all the essentials such as the poly carbonate drink ware for the hot tub! The kitchen leads through to the dining room with a dining table which seats 6 people. The freestanding 5 arm candelabra and log burner can be used in the evening to create an intimate dining experience for two or a relaxing ambiance with family and friends. The lounge is spacious yet cosy and is a perfect place for relaxing watching the 55" TV or a DVD. There is Sky TV, including films and sports, perfect to entertain you on a rainy day. Or if you wish you could curl up with a book, play board game or cards which are provided for adults and children. Upstairs there are three bedrooms that are made up with crisp white cotton bedding with comfy pillows and throws. There is a handy deep airing cupboard which provides storage and an invaluable place for drying off towels/clothes! As well as a separate shower cubicle, the spacious bathroom has a bath to soak and relax in after a hectic day out sight seeing. Towels are provided. There is plenty of space for a travel cot if you wish to bring one. The cottage may not be appropriate for young toddlers due to the steep, narrow tread staircase. The hot tub takes pride of place in the small pretty courtyard and is just a perfect way to round off the day and chat with friends and family about the days events. There is seating in the garden and umbrellas are provided. Self check-in allows for an easy fuss free arrival. Essential information about the cottage will be emailed to you following booking and any questions can be answered prior to your stay. Host, Kerry is available on the mobile throughout your stay should any questions arise. Host or host's representative always available. Icklesham is a pretty village in a scenic location. There are two fantastic pubs to relax in at the end of each day, both of which serve food. The Queen's Head is just a few steps down the lane from our back door. As well as excellent walking (1066 route) and cycling routes available nearby, there are beaches at Winchelsea, Pett Level, and Camber Sands. The ancient seaside town of Hastings, with its charming buildings and pier, provides a fascinating day out, as does Rye, with its historic buildings & many antique shops. The Norman church of All Saints in Icklesham, from which the cottage takes its name, is situated only 100 yards to the south, and is worth a visit if only to view its unusual 19th century hexagonal porch. There are regular buses to Hastings and Rye and the bus stops are a few minutes walk away. Train stations can be found in Winchelsea, Hastings and Rye. If travelling by car, parking can be found just across the road in Workhouse Lane next to the village hall. Smoking at the property is strictly prohibited. Including in the courtyard garden. This is a very small residential area with neighbours being in close proximity to each other and would not be suitable for all girl groups that wish to party or similar.
