Poort van Lobith, private house in nature area

An ideal house for two or a family (max 3) to go cycling, walking or recreate at the Bijland lake. You stay in a cosy house from 1932 with lots of privacy and your own entrance in the historic village. Lobith is in the middle of a unique nature reserve Gelderse Poort, very near the German border and the river Rhine. The house is build in 1932 and still has authentic elements. The private living room with tv with chromecast and radio has comfortable seats and is cosy. The bedrooms are on the second floor and the private bathroom and toilet on the first floor. The main bedroom has two separate comfortable box spring beds. The other bedroom has a sofa bed. The bedrooms are only available for the same group or family for a maximum of 3 persons. Wifi is available. It has many steps so not suitable for people with walking disabilities. A parking place is reserved for guests in our driveway and we have a separate barn to stall bicycles or motorcycles. The house has a separate entrance with many steps in and outside. Guests can make use of the kitchen with gas stove, microwave oven and fridge. The private roof terrace is 35m2 where you can enjoy the stunning view in a rural environment. A lounge set and sunscreen is there for your relaxation. We are happy to inform our guests about walking/cycling possibilities and what to do in our beautiful area. You as a guest can decide how much you want to interact as the house is very private. There are several restaurants or local suppliers around that deliver meals or ingredients to cook your own meal. Ask us about the possibilities. The Dorpsdijk in Lobith used to be the high street where you could find lots of shops and pubs. The river Rhine was next to our house in the 17th century and boats had to lay near the castle ’t Tolhuys to pay toll via the port ’t Schipperspoortje two houses down the street. You can still imagine what it must have been like because the landscape has not changed, except that the Rhine moved 500 meter south. Sunday after Ascension day the Sacrament Procession comes by in our street. In 2 kilometers distance you find the quay Europakade in Tolkamer where you will come across several nice terrasses and a breathtaking view on the Rhine and the nature. About 2 kilometers from here you can visit the beautiful German Elten and Hoch-Elten (hilltop). From this hilltop you have a magnificent view on the German surroundings. In Elten you will also find a lot of nice restaurants in the direct area of the church. A bus stop is within 500 meters reach, via Zevenaar (station) line 60 travels to Arnhem. We are in a distance of 9,5 kilometers from station Zevenaar. The highway A12 with exit Elten (Germany) is about 6 kilometers from here. Bicycles are available for rent depending on availability. The accommodation is located in a quiet part of the street on the edge of the village but next to a farm where cows and chickens are present. A washing machine is available for use only, we can provide you with detergent. You sleep upstairs and downstairs is the living area. The bathroom has a low ceiling so mind your head! It is not suitable for people with walking disabilities.
