Large renovated farmhouse with heated pool

Our beautifully renovated farmhouse set in a quiet rural part of Burgundy, not far from the Sancerre/Pouilly wine country. It has a huge garden and terrace, large swimming pool (May-October), trampoline and swings (and space to make huts and play hide and seek!). Peaceful evenings, star-gazing, using the gas BBQ as you drink wine bought in the local vineyards, whilst taking leisurely strolls or go for bike rides around the country lanes is what it is all about! Great for family get-togethers or several families to relax together in the peace and quiet of rural Burgundy, maybe enjoying a glass of the local wine... The rooms are big and the walls solid, meaning that families with young children can have their own space and not fear disturbing everyone! We have equipped it to the standard that we like to enjoy - it is so much more than a rental but a beloved family home and we love to share the extras with our guests (such as very well-equipped kitchen, loads of books and board games, bikes to borrow) Whilst 14 is the maximum guests we accept in theory, we set 12 as the limit for numbers of adults and we may also be able to accept extra guests if they are children (ask us and we can explain the cots/extra mattresses available). See attached link to our house manual (Website hidden by Airbnb) The whole house is for you! We are always happy to try to accommodate early checkins/late checkouts wherever possible - just ask! I’m always contactable even though I don’t live nearby for questions/suggestions. And of course we have people available locally in case of difficulties The tranquillity, walks and cycle rides around the lanes, the clear skies allowing fabulous star gazing... One of the joys of the area is the quiet - that is also what our neighbours enjoy so please remember to respect their peace too and no noise after 10pm that may disturb them... A car is needed... nearest (small) shop, pharmacy, bakery and cafe/pizza takeaway are 4 km away; nearest big supermarket is 15 km and nearest train station is 30km in Cosne sur Loire. There are a number of small restaurants within a few kilometers that we can recommend - ask us for suggestions! There are lots of stairs in the house as it has been converted from two farmhouses and barns, all at different levels and with beams everywhere, so it will be difficult for people with limited mobility unfortunately (and young children will need monitoring on the stairs - they are too wide for stair gates to fit). This is a quiet area - if you want to party/go to bars, it’s not for you! Noise that can carry isn’t allowed after 10pm, to avoid upsetting our lovely neighbours. We may pose questions about your plans for your stay if your group is large/made up of young adults - please don’t be offended we just want to respect our neighbours and ensure our house is a good fit for you! The large swimming pool is surrounded by a lounging area and is next to the terrace so you can supervise or just enjoy your family’s and friends’ splashing! It is protected by a gated fence (and a pool cover). The pool is available and heated from mid-May to mid-October.
