DOMAINE DU MOMENT: Our cool and comfortable Lodge has style and a great private terrace with a nice view over the hills. Good beds.In summer you can sit in the shade of the magnolia tree and in spring or autumn or sun because exposed south. In winter or half season you can make a fire in the stove. Enjoy ! Situated in the small Languedoc village of Soupex you will find our Domaine du Moment, offering simple B&B rooms and the private lodge that we names 'Gîte du Moment'. This charming, 90 m2 lodge fits 2 to 5 persons and has it's own entrance at the side of the house. The central corridor leads to a masterbedroom, a living/dining room with kitchenette and another separate bedroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with brand new kingsize hotelquality beds. We can add beds and/or change single beds into double beds etc. The bathroom includes a shower, wash-hand basin and WC. The kitchenette is fully equipped. Washing machine and ironing board are available. Both master bedroom and living/dining room face south and access a private terrace with panoramic views over the village and the Lauragais. Environment: Numerous historical villages are at a 10 to 15 minutes drive. The small towns of Revel, known for its beautiful covered market, and the lively Castelnaudary, capital of 'Cassoulet' offer all amenities. At 30 to 45 minutes you can visit larger towns such as Castres and the ancient medieval city of Carcassonne. Albi with its Unesco World heritage class cathedral, and France's fourth largerst city Toulouse are at a 1-hour distance. In the Soupex area itself are various cycling routes and hiking trails such as the camino of Santiago de Compostella. At the feet of the idyllic Montagne Noire hills lays the gorgeous St Ferréol Lake. Its sand beaches offer refreshing water and views on the surrounding green hills. Smaller lakes full of fish to catch are nearby. The Canal du Midi, with shaded lanes surrounded by trees, is only a few kilometres away from the house. It provides many walking possibilities with panoramic views. Only a 1-hour drive away you can take a bath in the Mediterranean sea, visit one of the many mystique Cathare sites or climb a mountain in the Pyrenees. Either way, but you can also choose to remain in the quiet privacy of our park and take a refreshing dive in the pool. Acces to the adjascent Parc and pool is included. Our pool is accessible for all our guests. We are available on the premises to help you to spend the perfect holiday ! Situated halfway in between trendy Toulouse and medieval Carcassonne (45 min), the village of Soupex is a great hide away to visit the close by saturday market in Revel or Castelnaudary or go to the Mirepoix hippie market. A nice spot to hike or bike alongside the Canal du Midi or in the black mountains. 5 - 7 kms of the Village Gourmand Labastide d'Anjou with 4 great restaurants. Train in Castelnaudary (9 Kms) but a car is needed unless you like to work out on the bike.
