A one room 8 x 3.6m self-contained, ground floor apartment for self catering guests. Part of our detached house on the A285 in the village of Halnaker, near the South Downs National Park, one mile from Goodwood House, 4 from Chichester. Private entrance, off road parking, 3.5 x 3.5m conservatory with sofa & TV, outdoor patio with furniture. Independent from the main house with views of the vineyard in Halnaker our one room ground floor accommodation is 3.6 x 7m with an on-suite WC and shower room 3.6 x 1m. Conservatory 3.5 x 3.5m with a sofa and TV. Outdoor paved patio area with seating and table. Park outside the accommodation entrance in your own parking area and go straight in. The ground floor apartment has a private entrance you can park right outside the apartment door and leave your car there during your stay. Towels and all linen are provided. (Please bring your own beach towels.) Wireless internet available. Welcome refreshments. Local Ordinance Survey maps (1:25 000) are available to borrow for excursions. The apartment has its own parking area right outside and private entrance with keysafe so you can come and go as you please but we are available should you need us. There is a traditional village pub, The Anglesey Arms, within easy walking distance for your lunch and evening meal. From the apartment you can see the Pinot Noir grapevines of the Tinwood Estate Vineyard. You can book a wine and cheese tasting and tour of the vineyard. Going east on footpaths you can walk to Halnaker Windmill with its views over the countryside to Chichester Cathedral and the Isle of Wight. You can walk south to Boxgrove village with its local shop and the ruins of the 12th century Benedictine Priory (English Heritage) and Priory Church. Walking north on to the South Downs National Park you can see the ancient, sweet chestnut trees with girths of more than 26’, the historic flint wall of Goodwood Estate Home Farm and go on to extensive woodlands and up to Halnaker Gallop. Historic Chichester City and the local south coast are within easy driving distance. By public transport: Bus stop: (5 mins walk) to Chichester Station bus takes 25mins. Chichester Railway Station: to London Victoria train takes 1.30mins/2hrs to Brighton train takes just under an hour. to Southampton train takes about an hour. to Portsmouth Harbour train takes between half an hour and three quarters of an hour. By car: Vineyard View is 5 mins from A27 1 hour to M25 to Brighton via A27 approx 45 mins to Portsmouth via A27 approx half an hour to London 1 hour 45 mins (depending on traffic) The accommodation includes a kitchen area with fridge/freezer, combination microwave, two ringed induction hob, 2 saucepans with glass lids & frying pan, dishwasher, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, crockery, cutlery & glassware, hair-dryer, 32” Freeview TV & DVD, an en-suite shower, one super king double with 1500 pocket sprung mattresses with luxury Egyptian cotton linen (or two 3’ single beds - please specify when booking) and a double sofa-bed in the conservatory (with doors which can be closed to create a separate room). Electric & central heating. WIFI available.
