An exceptional converted 19thC stone milking shed with your exclusive-use hot tub and blissful Zen lounge with sauna - your private mini spa! The Vale of Clwyd is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, lots of beautiful walks. LGBTQ friendly. Fabulous mix of relaxing in the hot tub/sauna , gorgeous views, adrenaline outdoor adventures, great restaurants, personal advice by the hosts. Great for couples ... brilliant for honey moons & mini-moons! Seeking some self-indulgent luxury in the countryside? Stunning location & unique sole-use facilities include Canadian hot tub & stylish Zen lounge & sauna with rainforest shower & daybed. Not to mention little luxuries like wine cooler, espresso machine, big comfy feather pillows ..... & the kingsize bed is pure bliss. The kitchen has a double fold-back window so you can sit at the breakfast bar and breathe in the inspiring views, or mix cocktails and use it as your own mini swim-up bar! Or just relax for hours in your private Zen lounge & sauna, a unique sauna experience....your own private spa mini-break! And when you book The Hideaway you get EXCLUSIVE use of all the facilities (we never book guests in the connected unit - so you always get all the peace and privacy you seek!). Local pub just a short walk across the fields and nearby shepherd's hut serves delicious coffee & cakes. Gorgeous location and views, big outdoor entertaining area with sprawling seating to relax in the sunshine....or sit and toast marshmallows over the fire pit. Great local restaurants to satisfy your appetite too, with North Wales' Best Country Pub & Restaurant 2018 just a few minutes drive away (they may even shuttle you to-and-from the restaurant so you can have a stress-free evening!)...and even closer is one of our favourites with fabulous multi-level wine terraces and inspiring views into the Vale of Clwyd). Lots to do in the area - take a few tiny steps to the hot tub or stride directly from your door onto some of the most beautiful country walks in Wales. We send guests our information which includes fun things to do including Zipwire, Surf Snowdonia, kayaking across the highest canal aqueduct in the world...and special sights only locals know about! Or do just nothing at all except enjoy the country freshness, laze in the tub or sauna, snooze in the courtyard or watch a movie (smart TV with Netflix & Prime). Feels so relaxing, yet located only 30min from Chester, 60min from Manchester/Liverpool, 2.5 hours by train from London. PLEASE NOTE: if you book The Hideaway, the connected accommodation will NOT EVER be occupied and you will have exclusive use of ALL the facilities! Kitchen includes: coffee bar and stools to sit and take in the lovely views, twin gas hob, combi microwave/fan oven, dishwasher, separate wine fridge, espresso maker, undercounter fridge with icebox, kettle, and other usual utensils and accessories. This whole converted block will be for your sole use (no other guests will use the outside facilities or be in the connected accommodation) and has its own designated carpark and direct private access. Includes your hot tub under pergola, bliss lounge with sauna/shower/daybed, BBQ area with outdoor table, firepit to relax around, sprawling outdoor furniture, stunning location....and frequent gorgeous sunsets. Hosts are enthusiastic to chat about all the great foodie places, sights, adventures, walks & beaches nearby. Or just email us to receive our guest information which includes the best local restaurants, fun things to do, and special sights only locals know about (and even the gorgeous beach dedicated to St Dwynwen, the Welsh patron saint of lovers, voted by Conde Nast as one of the best beaches in Britain!). Not far from the tiny 'city' of St Asaph is our little village with its tiny school and ancient church. The outlook into the Vale of Clwyd is stunning and from this location you will have gorgeous rural views, and the North Wales coastline and the snowy peak of Snowdon. No wonder this is officially designated 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'. Our visitors are often entranced as they drive through the main gates and see the outlook for the first time! Best of all we are just 2.4 miles from the A55 so access to all that Denbighshire and North Wales has to offer is easily accessible, whether it be the mountains of Snowdonia National Park, the wild coastline, the adrenaline pumping zip lines, the historical sites or the ancient walled City of Chester. Free parking behind our locked gates for 1 car is provided on site. North Wales is served well by the UK train network. If travelling by rail there are several possible destination stations. If you let us know your arrival time we can arrange for a taxi to collect you from the station. Wood for the firepit (with marshmallows & toasting sticks!) is £10 per load. Smoking is permitted, but only in certain designated outside areas. If guests breach this requirement and smoke inside then they agree to pay a £100 surcharge to sanitise the property. Parking available for one vehicle We ask you to consider other guests, no music in the courtyard please NB: as you might imagine, some IMPORTANT CHANGES have to occur, because COVID-19 remains prevalent in the UK. Firstly, because Cae Gwyn is our family home, we have to consider the increased exposure to our family. In this regard, we are requesting guests to bring their own bed linen & towels: • King sheets x1 • King duvet cover x1 • pillowcases x4 • towels suitable for hot tub/beach trips/sauna We will supply a (COVID appropriate) duvet inner and liner & comfy pillows x4. Secondly, we will be meeting new industry cleaning protocols to ensure you feel safe coming to a new environment. We will supply hand sanitiser, antibacterial spray and wipes for your use during your stay. Rubbish bins & bags are provided and guests are requested to take rubbish with them as they check-out. Thirdly, there will be an optional no-contact check-in (further details to follow). Please note because of the extra requirements, earliest check in will be 4pm and a slightly earlier check-out time of 9am (check-out may be flexible depending on bookings). There may also be a small delay bringing the hot tub up to temperature (The Hideaway only). We trust, in the current circumstances, you understand these changes, and we would like to offer you a complimentary bottle of Prosecco-on-ice in recognition of this.
