Our cosy & welcoming Cottage in the village of Fernhill Heath is a mid terrace property of four individual homes on the edge of the beautiful Worcester countryside. With easy access to main roads and only 15 mins drive to Worcester City Centre it's location is perfect for a weekend retreat or romantic getaway to our historic faithful city Lounge Like many traditional Cottages when you step inside the stairs to the upper floor are immediately ahead and the Lounge is to the left, consisting of a two seater sofa and armchair, TV with Sky Freeview, DVD player, unlimited Wi-Fi and full working Wood burner. There is also a well-stocked selection of paperbacks to keep you entertained. Kitchen The fully equipped kitchen has an electric cooker and gas hob and dining table large enough to comfortably host 4 people. There is also a microwave, fridge-freezer – in fact everything you would need to entertain family or friends, or just yourselves. Other amenities include gas central heating, hot water on demand & a washing machine. A wooden stable door leads out onto the patio area of the south facing garden, with café table and chairs and a wooden bench to while away a warm afternoon. First floor The first floor has one bedroom with a double bed and ample storage with two, chest of drawers and hanging space for clothes. All towels and linen are provided. A second, smaller room provides space as a dressing room, further storage or place to work with folding table. Adjacent is the bathroom with sink, toilet and over bath shower Guests will be able to access all areas Your hosts Andy & Angie live locally, only a short drive away. We are available for any emergencies or by mobile if you have any questions or just want to ask where a good place to go and eat is. Fernhill Heath is a village North of Worcester, connecting the City with the surrounding countryside. Walks along the Worcester & Birmingham Canal are easily accessible from the Cottage, as are walks across local fields and up to the historical Hindlip Hall. The village has two local shops, a post office, a fish and chips bar and two pubs in walking distance, both of which serve food 7-days a week. Worcester City is a 10 min drive, but there is also a bus route only a few minutes’ walk from the cottage. The Spa town of Droitwich is also 15 mins drive , just off the M5. Worcester is renowned for its Mediaeval Cathedral by the River Severn with pubs and restaurants lining the river bank as well as throughout the city. There are also Theatres , Cinemas and a vibrant music scene. Worcester also hosts Worcestershire County cricket and horse racing at Pitchcroft Further afield are the Malvern Hills and the beautiful countryside of Worcestershire, Hereford and Shropshire, all of which are easily accessible by car. In short there is something for everyone, whether you want to sit and relax by the wood fire or venture further afield across the beautiful English landscapes of this unique area we call home.
