Nestled between the Berkshires and the rolling farmlands of the Hudson Valley, The Ancram A is perfectly situated for your Upstate getaway. This unique A-Frame was originally built in the 60s and then reimagined in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) with modern luxuries. The cabin is on a lake so grab a towel and head down for a swim. 25 min from bustling Hudson and Great Barrington. 15 min from quaint Millerton. Also, there are many farms to visit. We look forward to sharing our picturesque hamlet of Upstate NY with you. *We open our calendar on a month-to-month basis. If you’re looking for a specific date, please message us and we will let you know when we open it! ✨ Our cozy cabin is outfitted to make your stay comfortable and easy. There is a projector screen with Roku and a game bin for nights in. Outside, we have a smoker and a BBQ near our fire-pit and welcome you to cook and hang outside. Every room has a fireplace and two out of the three bedrooms have private decks. Please read the Information Packet upon arrival for all the details. We also have posted tutorials on how to build a fire and use the projector on our (Hidden by Airbnb) : @the.ancram.a We will be available through messages via the Airbnb during your stay. The Lower Rhoda Lake Association was a teachers colony in the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) s. Many of the locals spent their summers around the lake. Shore Dr is a pedestrian path to the water. Sometimes you may see a neighbor walking their dog or going for a run. Everyone is very friendly and are proud of the community. There are two summer camps on the lake as well. There are many farms close by ranging from berries, tomatoes, cattle, poultry, dairy, and even flowers. We love grabbing a bite at The Copake General Store and going for a hike. We will have a recommendations list available online and at the cabin. Driving around is part of the fun upstate. Our primary tip is to watch out for "Deer Hour." Around dusk many of the deer are out eating their dinner. So if you're driving around, keep your eyes peeled. *Please* read all materials about the lake and lake guidelines. We’ve received a rental permit from the town of Ancram that we need to uphold every year. Please be mindful and respectful of the lake, our neighbors, and surrounding nature. — Airbnb guests are to use Eagle Beach only. —The beach is a little rocky, so water shoes are recommended. —Airbnb guests are welcome to swim in the lake. Fishing and boating, for guests, is off limits. —There are two camps on the lake, Camp Pontiac and Camp Anne.
